Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
1L oil is used when you don't do any engine work or the engine is opened or just normal oil change is done. But, when the engine is opened, you need 1.2L of oil.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostRs. 2500 for service cost. 😨
Thank you for the info. Whenever I will get this done, surely your advice will come handy.
No service center puts the 1.2L engine oil, always 1L. I shall keep this in mind when getting the job done. The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!
Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Is not there a issue with FZ of not throwing head light on the road directly? The throw is up and straight. But the light is required on the road, other bikes throw it on road itself. Can it be rectified? Facing lots of issue with it. Will change to a NB or Phillips extreme help? I am inclined towards HID though.
Please suggest a good HID and store in Kolkata.
Thanks.

Yes slightly more curve. Difficult to differentiate. A bit problem generates in adjusting mirror, I think because of the curve.Originally posted by saikatbyte View PostFazer's handle bar is little curved and comfortable than fz

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Will soon be hitting 70,000 Kms with my Fazer.
It will be 7 years in September and I have had a hassle free ownership
The bike still is very reliable and is giving me an average of 39-40 kms/l.
There are no modifications and most of the parts are stock.
I have only serviced the bike at Authorized SVC (mostly the one close to my office). Just once I had to change clutch plates at a local mechanic in Leh
I will soon be looking out for a new bike but it will be extremely painful to part with my very first bike (my Fazer).I can keep it, but I am afraid would not be able to maintain 2 bikes.
I have done a lot of North trips from Mumbai (GJ,RJ, Mum-Leh-Mum, MH) , hope to explore south when I get a new bike.
This ownership thread is full of knowledge and has helped me at times.
For any prospective owners for Fazer/FZ v2.0 , I would say YES YAMAHA
