      Guys!
I have put the Motul 7100 10W40 and the change is just awesome. The engine is so refined that I wonder why dint I used it before. Makes me wanna ride on and on.[emoji1]
Got it from a motul retailer for Rs 750.
A big thanks to devils_friend for the help. Cheers!

The gaps are incorrect due to sligtly bent steering stopper. Is there anyother method to check for the alignment. Something to make sure the bar is intact or bent. Based on it I would go and replace the bar tomorrow.

This is the third winter with the bike and till now had no starting problems. But now with temperatures dropping, it starts with little difficulty in the moring and doesn't hold the rpm high enough for a min or so to keep the engine running even with choke engaged. What might be a reason ?

          Ride safe and have fun.

Get the choke cable checked, check the idle screw setting. What grade of oil are you using?

Choke cable.. Will get it checked.
              Idling after running is stable.

Raise the rev using the idle screw by 2.5 degree turn.

                  I will do so.
But my query was it happens on cold engine only and is happening for the first time in 3 years.

IMO, the choke cable is at fault. Get it checked and replace it if necessary.

                      Consider this........................
You have been riding a bike for three straight years during which time the bike has been first off all Ridden. Secondly in this same duration the bike has been serviced and possibly the carburetor has been cleaned (if not then that can also cause this) and in any case the wires for the accelerator, choke and the mechanism in the carb they operate have gotten old and loose. All these things combined can cause the bike to start behaving differently.

Reset the idle screw as I have told you and you don't have to do anything else. Otherwise go ahead and change the choke cable and the problem will be rectified to about 90% of the way.

Thank you guys for the input.
I will change the choke cable in the coming days and the idle screw setting..

The carb has never been opened/cleaned, nor any cables changed.

Changed the AIS(AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM) today.
I can clearly feel the change.Bike has become smoother and accelerates clearly.
( I purchased my bike second hand with 65 k kms on the odo.Now have completed 74 kms and the engine is still stock.
Never felt this bike this smoother.)

But still i am having mild engine knocking problem usuall on lower gears.
                          Im haunting for solution.

But I hope that there's no soot as plug is showing brown colour not black. And if there is, then thats just plain confusing to me.
Had carb cleaned & tappets adjusted recently.
So brown colour on plug insulator went away.
And Exhaust is still popping :what:
Adjusted afr screw. Plug insulator showed white. Still popping persisted.
Adjusted again to little rich. Popping not going.
P.S: Tappets at .07 inlet & .095-0.1 exhaust but still making dreaded metallic tapping noise.

If you mean misfire by poping sound then AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM may be the culprit.
                              Get it checked.
                              Had happened to me.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that.
                                Have even replaced the AIS.
                                But the popping didnt decrease.
