Again respectfully, You don't have to convince anyone. However it is wise at times to acknowledge that if what you said is wrong it is absolutely fine . If you keep on trying to defend it, it will not change the facts. If the fully synthetic oil is vanishing very quickly like in the case of say Bajaj Pulsars then that's because the machining tolerances are not good enough as compared to jap models. You really need to re-learn about engine oil and how they work in modern engines mate.

If you wish to follow what you believe in well and good. But please, don't preach what you practice coz in the modern world, it stands incorrect.

    Cheers,

          Don't feed the fire. Right?

And don't try extinguishing one that won't die either. Just starve it.

Have you ever done lubrication of rear suspension? It is mensioned on sercice manual but there is no detail about it.My suspension is really hard compared to other fz.It is on standard setting.

I am having some trouble with clutch housing. It had freeplay so got it rebutted at lathe but still engine sound is rough at first and second gear.Sound comes from clutch housing side of engine. It sounds like kat kat katter.Bike is smooth above 3rd gear.

Well AFAIK The points of locking of the rear suspension(i.e) one to the body and the other to the rear swing arm area. These points need greasing at an interval. When I changed the Swing arm bush and bearing. I had removed the rear suspension completely and cleaned the bushes and greased them.

                Cheers.

New problem...got the t fixed by the lathe guy, then a proper servicing at Yamaha ASC. All problems are ironed out now.
500kms afterwards,I find the front tyre slipping out a bit while cornering/braking hard. (13k on the odo) Also while braking hard, there is a 'tak' sound coming from the front forks, happens when thr fork is rebounding/getting normal :banghead: after braking.is it normal?

Sounds like the coneset issue. It would be wise to get it inspected, greased and tightened as per the torque ranges mentioned in the workshop manual and not by estimated hand cranking. Over tightening will result in the coneset going bye bye in no time. It would be wise to get the front fork alignment checked and inspected.

                            • R15 v2 rear tire for FZ-s

Hi all my name is chandhu i own Yamaha Fz-s 2010 model after 26000kms rear tire is worn out i went to nearest MRF dealer for a new one. He said there is no stock of 140/70 revz he insisted me to have r15 v2 rear tire which is readily available it is same as fz16 but its little less in size since my rear tire had 10 punctures in week i had no option other than accept that offer it costed 3kINR including fitting i thought it would be end of my problems but its whole new beginning of new problems
                              1. After 2 days i observed height of rear is increased which throws load on wrist (i felt like sitting on an apache)
                              2. This is main reason made to start this thread the pickup of bike is abnormal its behaves quite different .I observed when i started a race with my buddies fz & r15
coz the mid range torque of my fz had completely disappeared i was shocked when my friend is a moving like vroom beating me but its story only up to 70kmph
after that i got punchy torque which took me 82 to 107 kmph in no time i was surprised to know the torque is just shifted its rpm range is this possible am i still dreaming

pls let me know how it happened or what really all this is

                              Thanking xbph

I had gotten the ball racer set changed very recently, then the T lathed and fixed.Even changed the nuts on the T,that need to be tightened. Doesn't cone set come in the pack of ball bearing set? A pic of it would be really helpful.Cant find it on Google.
Got it fixed from the SVC and things were perfect. Now after 500+ kms,the cornering is scary! Handlebar isnt vibrating over potholes. That issue has been sorted.
