        yaar aeysa Mat bolo.... Bhaii
the Oil was also recommended by Motul Itself for Yamaha FZ-16/FZS.
As per My knowledge Fully Synthetic Oil are the best protection Oil for Bike Engine.

Difference between Motul 7100 4T and Motul 5100 4T | Nex Gen Bikes

Also look at the website given above.
I did my homework before changing the Engine Oil . YAMAHA SVC (friendly) guy told me it's not a Big deal to run Full Synthetic Oil in FZ-S, it's jus that thrashing rider choose this kind of Oil. I just Choose because My bike Vibrates after 60 above. Now even 70-80 its just Like simple smooth.

Can't imagine any reason for not using semi or fully synthetic oil. Why do you think so bro?

I've been using Motul 5100 and 7100 since my bike was 4k on the odo. Its almost 13k odo now. Haven't faced any problems yet.
Bike is a year and a half old. There are many other riders here using Motul oils and they have all given positive reviews.
Plus Motul themselves recommend 5100 for FZ and Yamaha SVCs stock all of 5100, 7100 and 300v.

Can you share where you got this information?

          Cheers!!

Why do the manufacturer recommend oil to use?
How often do we change oil?
Mileage over oil syn n min?
            Cost?

I am using motul 3100 mineral with no issues,
            Have better acceleration n mileage.

They recommend the grade and don't specifically say to use mineral, semi-synth or full-synth oil.

Oil change varies for mineral, semi-synth and full synth. It also depends upon once riding style, kms covered with that oil.

Mileage never changes with use of any oils. Mileage solely depends upon riding style, ambient conditions. Also, if you use thicker oil than recommended grade, the mileage doea get affected in a minimal way.

Cost of oil goes up as you move from mineral to semi-synth to full synth.

Motul 3100 looses its sheen at about 1500-1600kms after riding it hard (personal experience). Have been using Shell AX-7 for past 2k kms and the bike still revs easily without any issues.

It seems you have been given wrong information courtesy a local mechanic in your area.

You may use any grade: mineral, SS or FS grade oil in your FZ. The only major factor here is the spending limit of your wallet. An FS oil will always be superior than an SS or mineral oil as it is more resilient against high temperatures and shearing of oil is lesser thus translating to higher life in comparison to other two grades.. Usually FS oils have a service life of 4000-5000 kms on FZs (based on personal experience!!). I think i can claim to be one of the longest users of Motul 300 V 15W 50 FS oil for over 20,000 kms. And the engine is still in good shape.

Regardless, would request you to do a bit more research and read the older posts of this ownership thread where all different kinds of oil have been experimented and results posted here first, before making a claim which may prove otherwise.

Yamalube 20w40 or Motul 3100 20w50 for very low usuage?
My college is around 2kms.I ride around 30 kms at weekend.

Yamalube is smooth just for few 100 kms so thinking of going for 20w50.

Go for Motul 3000 20W40. It is much better than Yamahalube.

Manufacturers recommend grade, and mineral , semi and fully synthetic have different parts where they outlive the other according to different riding condition and even climatic conditions, a person who rides at very hot conditions and having a lot of high revs in play a mineral oil will hardly do any good.

How often you change oil is based on your usage and oil type.

Mileage over oil type doesn't really bring any real world difference like i have explained in previous post.

Cost, that is something each individual can decide, if they can afford it they may use it.

We are not riding 1000+cc bikes
Its 150 cc what we have

My grandfather was certified Doctor of Motors from U.S.A.
He used to say synthetic oils are for high cc engines.
Anything below 250 cc should use mineral oil
Above 250 to 500 should use semi synthetic
Above 500 n higher fully synthetic

If u guys are happy with yourselfs then go ahed i dont care.
