Before bro bcos some few minor adjustments should be done like cleaning air filter
      Tightening the chain
And engine oil level and its viscosity

        thanks.
Do it ASAP, so that if there are any glitches before the ride, you can rectify it.

        Do the following:

        1) Check conditions of clutch cable and accelerator cable. Keep spare cables incase they go kaput in between your trip.

        2) Change the engine oil to Full Synthetic.

        3) Both brake pads condition (change if required).

        4) Adjust chain slackness.

        5) Clean and lube the chain.

        6) Change oil filter.

        7) Top up battery as required.

        8) Check electrical connections.

Keep spare headlight bulb, tools, engine oil with you.

        Have a safe ride.

        Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Tried some handlebar risers and they were charging 2000(JC road) and that too with not a good finish. Hence have got Bajaj avenger handlebar riser for Rs.400 from shivajinagar. Yet to procure a flat 1/2" or 1/4" thick flat bar 3" x 8" to mount risers and this setup onto four holes which are holding the handlebar now. Will keep you all updated once I am done.
if you want to increase the handlebar height why dont you change it to that of SZ R?

13 T or 15T ? which one to use in place of the 14T front sprocket for improving the performance?one more question..... I have observed that the lower end of the pipe which comes out from the drain tube of the carb always remains moist with fuel.is this normal? or is my carb leaking fuel?

As your tyre height increases lower the teeth for better overall performance. Eg. If u use 130/80 use 13T or if you use 140/70 use 13t or if you use 160/55(not available) use 15t.

Drain tube of carb moistness is normal.

Unless your clutch return spring and any assembly below is broken, to the best of my knowledge, you don't have to open the clutch side engine case to do any sort of adjustments. Clutch cable OEM is for around 110 bucks. Should be a simple 10 min fix.

May i ask why do you want to increase the height of the handle bar?? personally the stock handlebar position is just precise for zippy handling characteristics of the bike.

Greetings from Vietnam. I was recently visiting Bangalore and saw so many awesome FZ16s ad FZs that I decided to buy one myself and then I slapped on a body kit and bored her out to 168 CCs because the full exhaust I swapped wasn't loud enough. In Vetnam, stock FZ16s are selling for about 4000 US dollars brand new by the way, so there's very few people who actually own these.

By the way guys, I want to fit some crash/fall peg protections, but I don't know where I would be able to attach them onto the bike. If anyone can put me in the right area, I would appreciate it. thanks

Yes, the import taxes here on bikes and cars are crazy. Any bike over 175CC costs double or triple. I was looking at a Ninja 300 the other day for 14,000 dollars when in America it's like 5000 dollars.

I was just visiting Bangalore for a friend's wedding and noticed the FZ16 in the streets. I wasn't sure if Vietnam had them, but when I came back I checked and got lucky. I bought my bike for 3500 US dollars used, plus all the modifications like the body kit, exhausts, displacement enlargement totalled about 1000 dollars or so. Parts are really expensive here in Vietnam. By the way, the newer FZS 2013 were available at many private dealers, but the prices were outrageous and I didn't like the colors. I had to go very far to get this bike.

Now a days i keep fuel always on reserve and fill around 4 ltrs while going for ride.Is it ok to do so?
I am doing this because i use my bike for weekend ride only.I used to keep tank full before but my cousin always keeps riding and just leave very low amount of fuel.

Does low fuel amount on tank creates rusting problem? How often should i fill it full to keep tank healthy?

No bro i think its okie but remember too much of low petrol can choke your fuel sensor as such me to daily fill the 30rs petrol bcos my office is near by to my home and my daily run up is 15 to 18 km so 30rs petrol is fine for me at week end i use to fill 1ltr so i my opinion it should work fine for you too

Just a quick thought.. Not sure how many of you face it, but at a petrol station, after you get petrol filled, and they take out the dispenser, a few drops of petrol is spilled.

Now would you rather have those drops spilled from a 30rs. fill, or a 75rs. fill? ... Food for thought.
