This is great! I was looking for something like this. If you can post a DIY of how you did it, it will be great! Thanks!Originally posted by shaikhfaisal13 View Post

This is headlight wiring which is altered for twin high and low illumination.
Just need the connector clips and install into empty provisions in the sockets and connect to green and yellow with the opposites of each.

My main question is where did you get the plastic connectors? Are they available at the SVC?

Will try this weekend and how it goes!
I was dumb enough not to realize that the harness could be purchased from the SVC. I was considering building the whole harness from scratch!!
Cheers!Your pair of feet can tire you... Your pair of wheels can never tire you...

With the wireing into wrong colors n he had to do it again,
In the process the integrity of the harness was lost. So i got a new one from SVC n did it myself.
When i made it n installed....i found that the intensity of headlights also improved...
It is better than before n nice visibility but not as good as my cousins R15.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Last night on red light i caught up a drag race with a old fazer (one with white mags n white body work) the guy was keen n launched 4 seconds to spare n i launched at 2 sec to spare.....
Continously hitting the red line i got beside him but coudnt overtake....
It was flatout 40, 63, 85, kmph in 1st, 2nd, 3rd respectively n then 4th but no way to touch 100 coz it ws city street n was traffic ahead...
Can a 4 yr old fazer beat a 4 mnths old fazer in a straight line?
My fazer goes 0-60 in 4.33 sec when chked on gps n 120 top till now...
If there would b a fair game can a old machine smoke a new one.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hi guys,
Have a query.
I have a FZ 16, purchased in December and clocked around 400KM till date. For last week, I see the bike vibrates slightly around 3700-3800 rpm in 3rd, 4th as well as 5th gear.
Once I cross 4000 rpm, the vibration vanishes.
During my second service, I mentioned that to service center folks, however they said its normal and nothing to worry.
This ride is so vibration free, even a slight vibe irritates a lot.
What can be the reason behind it?

I bought it nov 2013 done 3500 km till now
No worries its normal with this bike...
Try tuning carb.
Keep the settings which give minimum vibes..
Sometimes richer mix gives more vibes at low rpms n leaner mixture gives more vibes at high rpms.
Also try diff fuel stations for fillups n fill in early morning or late night. Fuel quality also matters..

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Few days back my clutch cable snapped (7k on odo). The guy at svc said the clutch cover needs to be opened to adjust the free play as both the cable adjusting nuts are already stretched to their limits & no further setting would be possible with the nuts. He also said, this setting is generally done at the time of first service. Was he talking correct? If yes then I'll get it done in 4th service.sigpic
With you I realized, I have multiple personality disorder. I turn to Bionic when I'm astride you.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Owners manual says to use 20w40 or 20w50 depending on surrounding temperatute whereas service manual says to use 20w50 grade oil.
Yamalube gor fz is 20 w 40.
Which one do you think will be better.I want to go for 20w50 mineral because yamalube loses viscosity preety early.
Please suggest me one.
If castrol active 20w40 is worth using i will go for it as it is said to protect engine even when not riding and it is available everywhere.

Dont use castrol active. Not recommended to any fz atleast.Originally posted by Ishwor View PostOwners manual says to use 20w40 or 20w50 depending on surrounding temperatute whereas service manual says to use 20w50 grade oil.
