The AFR looks good. Rich would have made the tip blackish.Originally posted by Girish... View PostThe (silverish) part of top section is cleaned. Am I running too rich?
TIP: Before taking out the pulg, clean the surrounding area of mud/dust.

Thabks a lot :-)Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostThe AFR looks good. Rich would have made the tip blackish.

Was running on 5.5 rotations of the screw. Now after cleaning the filter(which had much of the dust), i retuned it, nd now its best at 4.75 rotations. Will report back if the color changes.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
No, nothing under the seat, suction port is fine.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostHope that you haven't put anything under the seat that might obstruct the suction port. Continuous riding will not make the bike go kaput
(personal experience). The only issue can be low oil, lean AFR, this will make the bike hot easily. If the spark plug tip is choclate brown, the AFR is perfect. If it is on the whiter side, AFR is lean.
Cheerz!!
Sure, will check the AFR. I get a comparitively better mileage, so could be lean AFR.
Thanks

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
I just changed my fz-16's rear tire to 130/80 which literally increased my bike's height. I just want to know, will it affect my bike's performance?? and if so what changes should i do to overcome it?? should i under gear it??
Thanks in advance...

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
AFAIK, it is 'usually' 3.5 or more.. See if you get more rpm by turning it anticlockwise. If not, keep the same configuration.Originally posted by Ishwor View PostI am running on 3 rotations anticlockwise from the leanest point.....

PS. Turn idling screw to get 2.5 or 3k rpm at idle nd then try this. :-) try and make it better

Yes your top end performance will get affected. Change you smaller sprocket to 15 teeth of Pulsar150. It will almost come back to stock performance.

as fas as i know, not many have used Michelin PS. So having reviews is going to be tough. The stock tyre is preety awesome if you ask me.
You can also take a look at Duke 200's tyre, 150 section. I have seen many fz's with that any is more rounder in profile than the stock one.
Ride safe and have fun.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Today went for battery change in my bike which has been without any electrical for the last 2 days now. But the amaron dealer didn't had and 5A MF battery in stock
and said the stick would come only after 10-15 days.
Should I go for the stock battery again from exide, costing Rs. 1250 ? Exide doesn't have MF batteries. I checked with a dealer.
Ride safe and have fun.
