A size 8 T-spanner is used to open the filter bolts. I got one for 40rs.
Agree to what you say. But, the SVC guys don't give me Oil Filter to take it at home. Also, they insist on using Yamalube which i am not willing go use. So, i get the oil filter changed at SVC and change the oil when i reach home.

      Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

        Ohh thats a problem then.
I have found a svc nearby which sells spares and I buy 2-3 filters at a time for easy convenience. Lucky me

        • Fz-s / fz 16

Really conufses b/w the two. I really like the black version of fz 16, but the fzs has got some extra graphics. Please help me decide.

And if FZS, please tell your opinion about the limted edition, is it worth the extra 2k? In the fzs case i am really confused b/w the blue silver and the limitted edition battle green colour.

          TIA

Single color or dual tone.. Its a personal choice mate. We can help you with technical features, but both these are same bikes. Which color you want is upto you. 2k more is worth it if you like the fz-s color combination.

                  Ride safe and have fun.

                      Good luck
Also, do check the black-exhaust cover. The shiny green cover on that ruins the look matt look of the bike.

I have taken it and it covers many parts of the engine. Its upto once choice whether to take it or not. I have seen many guys who tend to take this offer after completing 6 months of ownership.

I ride a fazer for an year and have clocked over 22k kms, and to say it has been a happy riding in what so ever conditions.
I didn't have any major problems with the bike, but lately when I trying to change the engine oil the drain valve screw had the threads along with it and when fitted in after draining the oil, it dint not fit in the engine tightly, so had to use threads to make it fit in.

The bike have been given to the service station for fixing this and he said it could be done by making new threads in the engine so that the screw fits in properly.
I have been using shell fully synthetic oil from the beginning and the persons in the bunk said that they are having troubles with Yamaha fazer and fz bikes engine drive trains thread being broken often.
I wanted to know whether this is an issue using the shell oils or due to incorrect tightening of the screws, if so isn't a bike's engine made with stand the manual tightening or this should be kept hand tight.
                              Regards
                              biker.....

Guys anyone who can let me know whether they need to dismantle the engine for making this drain hole? , i have been said by the service guys that the engine needs to be dismantled for this but the local mechanics say that it is not necessary as it would be a simple lathe work.
I am greatly worried whether the engine would perform the same after the service guys have worked on it.

                              Regards,

Even lathe work is not required. Threading can be done by tapping also. Only thing is that, the tapping should be accurate and proper.
