The tapping was done but the valve was not fitting properly and it has worn out much . As right now it is with the service guys and dismantled, can i expect a performance drop in terms of pick up or mileage any idea?

Since the engine has already been dismantled, tell them to do tapping. How are they going to make threads in the drain?

Hi got the bike from service centre,,,,,, dint find much variation with the engine in anyway... the threads were made by drilling a bigger hole and now it is 18 inchs instead of 17....

            • YAmaha Fzs Braking and bottom part fouling issue

Hii every1..jus purchased fzs last month......
Whever i apply the front brake ther is a sound coming like trrrrrrr..
Secondly wenever the sped braker comes or any elevated surface the bottom part of the bike gets brushed to the speed braker/surface...this is not good as it wil damage the bike...
The service people says that its normal..but i dnt thnk both these problems are normal...i need your help/suggestion to solve this issue.

It should be 18mm and not 18".

The front brake sound will fade away after you use the bike for some more time.It used to happen to my fazer also, when I bought it.

The bottom part which is getting brushed is the centre stand and it should be fine except some scrathces on the stand......and for the brakes as long as you feel the bite of the brakes is good shouldn be a problem .....

Hey.. Just tried to retune the fazer today.. Nd surprisingly highest rpm got stabilized after somewhere between 11 and 12 half rotations.. Is that okay :O earlier I was running with 8 half rotations(tuned by me, then also).. Rpm fell when I unscrewed more after 13 14 half rotations.. Nd feels like stable at 8 half rotations as well, but increases again after 10 11.. And settled again at 11-12.. Was having highest rpm there

                              • Re: HID or Projector Lamp for Fz-S

Having 4k on odometer I received bike today after 3rd free servicing. While taking delivery I noticed that the bike didn't take off even after applying half clutch. I asked the technician and he said that Yamaha has asked them to adjust the clutch to new setting because there have been many problems due to half clutch and clutch plates getting damaged. So, I have to apply 1/4th of clutch to get moving from the first gear. I am very doubtful about this whole thing. Does anybody else know details about this setting?

The positive thing to come out from this 3rd free servicing is that bike feels much smoother than the past.
