    • All New Spark plugs gives good mileage. Once the Kms are running they tend to loose there durability. I was using NGK IX. At first i was getting above 50+ mileage but suddenly it has come down. I used it for 2000 kms. Only good thing about it was Ignition & little pickup. Mileage depends upon your riding style.

Bye the way nobody answered my previous post on P 439....

I don't think it will loose its durability in 2000kms. am currently using the G-Power for more than 5k, its still good and Iridium IX will be anyways durable than the stock conventional one...

Do you use Iridium IX for FZ?

While travelling at a speed above 80+ does it give you guys the "JARK EFFECT" while accelerating & the engine gets off & it takes while to light up.
I always feel like the piston scratching on the side walls(read: not saying it really does, but that type of feel), that feel is between 60-65km/hr. and it vanishes as the speed picks up and for some of them it comes between 80-85 km also(i don't really check it at that speed)
I have asked this thing here in xbhp itself(turn pages to the beginning of this thread if you want to see)... Experts clarified that this feeling is common for all FZ's and it will not cause any probs. It's called the "Rought Patch"... its for all bikes, but the speed range varies...

YES But today i changed it back to Stock one because my bike is due for service. Its mentioned that after 12000 kms they will change it with new (mentioned on the book). SO 2 NEW PLUGS Unless they provide free.

Need to do something about the top speed though

Did u mean service manual/book... i have completed 20k, they didn't changed it yet, even i have changed it... they will not provide it for free bro... 100% sure...

For more top end do Sprocketing(i didn't done yet)... Couple of weeks before we had a G2G on NH7 and i did a 122km/hr(on the speedo...may be speedo error)...
But boy-o-boy the stability was top notch, no vibrations, you feel really confident... the thing lacking at that time was a rear disk brake...

              • I think you didnt see it. It is mentioned on the Periodic maintaince chart on 6.1 (i think). It also mentioned about airfilter element on 12000 kms. Unless you ask them they dont do it i guess. Do you know home many front teeth R15 has, i was planning to change it to that. I think it has 16. I have a good mechanic in SVC who does all the stuff i ask him but not for free though

Changing of airfilter is done at 10k, but i don't know about spark plug...
i think changing to R15's sprocket may loose the initial pickup...

Is it? with ZMA sprockets its the reverse i think... already FZ's top end is not good... so after this mod? and what's the top end we can get?

By increasing the rear sprocket only initial increases but top end reduces. I talking reverse by changing the front not the back. Increasing front teeth gives better top end but lesser acceleration. Its the same Vice versa.

I first checked the air after 4 months of use... coz no body told me about... even in XBHP, there were very few FZ owners at that time...
even after 4 months i didn't feel there was less air... after that the probs started taking...

so i would recommend every one to check the air pressure regularly... MRF guys told me a regularly maintained rear tyre will easily do 25000-30000Kilometers...
Really man WTF....how could you not check it for 4 months?????

I dont know how to react???? Thats a hell lot of time for air to be trapped
                            anywhere....least in a tyre....

                            • Hi Guy's..........if your top end speed has dropped I would suggest you look at the air filter 1st.........we all ride in dusty conditions and the filters sucking it in..........air filter is the lungs of the bike

Any idea about drilling the outer cover of the ir cleaner so that the bike breathes freely?? I heard some guys completely remove the outer cover after the filer and just tie the filter not to move
