Yup...thats absolutely correct buddy...Originally posted by RanjithMN View Post
the crash guard is not an official accessory by YAMAHA,its jst tht some dealers provide it.
Maybe or maybe not....will also depend on how light it will be.....Originally posted by iamvik View PostI had a look at the tyres seen in the pics on Pirelli's website. It's a sport touring tyre called the Sport Demon. It's a cross ply tyre whereas the OEM MRF rear is a radial tyre. Is it possible that an MRF radial is better than a Pirelli cross ply?
coz the MRF radial is said to be on the lighter side for its size and profile....

2 queries which I have noticed this week.
The tyre in the front wheel seems to be rapidly losing air. I filled it to the full on 15th and after 12 days there has been a decrease of around 5 units. Does it mean that there is puncture?
Secondly, I observed that the chain is being grinded against the rim. Is it normal or does it mean that the chain is lose. Can I do anything about this? I don't feel like going to the svc for this and they are sure to mess up.

after 10 days there is normally a drop in air pressure...also the time of the day when u fill the air matters...cause if u fill air when it is hot at night u will experience a drop in pressure due to lower pressure and the air in the tyre contracts...still get a quick check by looking at the tyre and see if u find any foreign particles sticking to it...
please elaborate on the second query...the chain is grinding against the rear tyre rim? it might be too loose...u can remove a chink out of the chain and get it tightened from any local shop....
SVC guys though a**h***s that they are, know the bike better than any local mech...(my experience.) so keep the safe in their hands ...plus if they screw up you get work done for free...if the local mech screws up u can hardly hold him responsible...sigpicGirls are like roads, more the curves, more the dangerous they are.

As far as FZ's tyre is concerned you must check the air between one or one & half week... and fill the rear tyre with 36psi and front with 28psi itself...
this was told by MRF people... otherwise the side portion will get more wear than the middle portion...sigpic...Ride Long...Ride Safe...

My FZ jus completed the 20k and at the early stages i didn't check the air pressure that often and when i met a problem that my front tyre air pressure decrease in 2-3 days... when i visited the MRF service center last month they told there is side leak for the front and i had now put a tube in the front tyre... also my rear tyre has got uneven wears(mainly at the right side)... they told me tubeless tyre pressure must be checked regularly(in 1 week)... you must fill 36psi at the rear so that the center portion of the tyre will get more contact on the roads, otherwise your side portion get to run out...Originally posted by ayushkant View PostWell I'll also try out from next time to see if any change is visible

i found the 36psi of no probs... anyways you guys try out and tell... don't say that 36psi will blast the tyre etc. it will cause nothing...

I am currently using the NGK G-Power, don't find any difference in power, but the fuel efficiency has been increased to 2-4 km/ltr...Originally posted by neermsc View Post.........any significant performance increase or any impact on the fuel efficiency?????
NGK has recently launched their Iridium IX and i am definitely going to buy that one... u can surely count on the mileage... with Iridium IX i think atleast 3-5 km/ltr will increase...

I have absolutely no qualms with the default parts. The bike's awesome as it is... The seat cover (for long distance touring) and crash guard are the only essentials IMHO.Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
But its how fast you get up, that matters.....
