Yes, it is used in exhaust pipes to reduce the harmful gas emission from the exhaust of the bike/car/machines.
When you switch of the bike, you can hear it ticking-it cools the bike down.
Not the best thing to do for your bike's health, but if you just want some noise, thats not a very tough thing to do!

A small correction here, the ticking sound after switching off the engine is of the Cat con cooling, the contraction of the material makes the noise> it does not aid in any ways towards the cooling of the bike.

Apache 150 weights on CBZ stem. Custom fit.

Glady ones dont fit as per the service advisor. So did some home work and did it my way

RTR unit comes with full stem, but not sure whether it fits.

          • How do I know if my back tyre has a puncture? I filled it full air 33ps 2 days back but the ride is rough and feels like the tyre has no air. But when I checked the pressure is down by 1ps.

Even if there is a nail pierced inside, there wont be a major air loss, infact you wont even know that there is a puncture. Pull the nail off and keep riding.

The fluid costs 250 bucks per tyre, it similiar to fluid in tuff up tube in Honda Unicorn. Sai and Iyengar in Indiranagar has this fluid.
For all your kind information Mushroom punture is just 120 Rs not 300. I suggest you not to go for the Anti punture fluid. Original is costly and are not usefull that much because a seeled tubeless tyre if removed it will not sit properly back and also if the fitting is not proper the tyre & the alloy will get bent. Hence i suggest avoiding it.

Yeah. Long metal rod of CBZ Classic. In CBZ it is fixed with snap locks which won't work with FZ handle. So used auto grade double-sided tape, 3 layers. Now am wondering how I will remove it if I want to put it in new handle if I have to change this.

Cost: 38 per stem and 46 per weight. Plus 3M double-side tape 90 bucks.

Total 168 for parts [+ 90 for tape [already had them]].

the one below is the drain screw.....just as jd said
                        hope you are assured now....
The great samboy did it again !! .. I finally tuned my fazer's carb after a few tries, and now the real chapter begins.. the pickup has increased considerably, the bike is not knocking like before , smoothness has increased .

The dimwits at the svc never bothered to tune my carb properly.

The sweet spot of the A/F screw was 3/8th a turn towards the leaner setting , all this time more fuel was fed to the engine than it could chew.

I will check the mileage after this and let you guys know , currently it was 40.

If the mileage increases , this may be the answer to all the FZ mileage wows.

MANY THANKS TO JD666 , N-O-V-I-C-E AND ALL THE GUYS WHO WALKED ME THROUGH IT.

guys today i went to yamaha service center to change the battery, coz it was not working properly .for de past one month every morning i used to run wid my bike to get it started...the yamaha service center guys were not able to find de error in battery,so at-last today went and changed it,,and it coasted me 880rs.

one of the yamaha service center guy told me abt Yamaha's plan to sell kicker"s for all fz and fazer bikes by next month,,which is going to cost 3000rs with installation.the service guy was not aware abt the exact date on its release.he might have bluffed also...any how if it happens then its a great news for us,

that is definitely a good news but i like the exclusivity FZ provides...... its fun to watch peoples faces when you tell them "meri bike me to kick hi nahi hai".....

one more thing was ur bike giving problems whole day long or just in the morning..... my dio used to give some problem while starting in the night and early morning later on the mechanics found out a cut in the wiring because of which whenever headlights were on battery was not able to take the load of the starter....
