Cost: 38 per stem and 46 per weight. Plus 3M double-side tape 90 bucks.

Total 168 for parts [+ 90 for tape [already had them]].
Hmm...looks very neat....but will have to think over again whether to go for it coz of the tape involved....
    cheers.....

The dimwits at the svc never bothered to tune my carb properly.

The sweet spot of the A/F screw was 3/8th a turn towards the leaner setting , all this time more fuel was fed to the engine than it could chew.

I will check the mileage after this and let you guys know , currently it was 40.

If the mileage increases , this may be the answer to all the FZ mileage wows.

MANY THANKS TO JD666 , N-O-V-I-C-E AND ALL THE GUYS WHO WALKED ME THROUGH IT.
Great work....lets see how it goes>>>>>

        • ^^ the kicker, shaft, spring, etc all are listed in the parts catalog of the FZ-16. you can check it out at any dealership, just ask for the parts catalog for the FZ family. I have seen it in the parts catalog of the FZ16.

Hence i suggest avoiding it.
Hey Galaxtus, Any idea where the mushroom puncture is done in Bangalore? And regarding its efficiency?? I had one puncture prior to my 1st service. Got it repaired. But now i'm facing some weird pressure drops, especially when i travel on bad roads. Got to get it checked.

                    Thanks in advance.

                    • I found a serious thing in FZ.. today I skidded from the bike due to disc locking.. everytime I have falled is due to disc locking..

I want to install ABS is there any possibility in FZ?

                            +1

The front disc brake is very powerful and can stop the bike very fast but you have to learn how to apply the brakes smoothly. Any jerky application will cause the wheel to lock over loose surfaces like sand.

                            • 5th Free service

I've just dropped my bike off at Bangalore Wheels for its 5th free service. I've complained about gear shifting problems and poor mileage. I hope the job gets done correctly.

I have never locked my discs till date. I use only 2 fingers to operate the front brake, never felt the need to squeeze more than that. However are you sure you arent overly using your rear brakes. Skidding can (and mostly does) occur when u apply greater force on your rear brakes. Check out the braking section the tips section of x-bhp. Very good info there.

ABS not available on the FZ currently. I think the Apache will be coming out with that, no info about that though. But you can manually perform ABS action (if you practice it). ABS is applying brakes in short bursts so as to not lock your wheels. That is you have to apply and then remove and then apply and then remove. Of course under panic braking this would be the last thing anyone might do. But I have done that a couple of time in a car. Never faced such a situation on bike (touchwood) :-)
