Is this a fixed MRP everywhere?Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Post1. you can get your oil. the usual cost of free sservice is that of oil priced at 220rs and of oil filter another 50 rs. whether they will put genuine oil or not depends on the svc.Always assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

2. it is very rare that they will allow you into the service center area as it is closely monitored on cctv you will be able to wait for thr service only once or twice as you might have some other work to do so you will have to learn to trust them in this regard at least for 1 or 2 times and then take a decision whether to go to the same svc or not.
3. i dont know what rear mud guard you are talking about it.
4. if you are feeling comfortable than no need to make those changes.
5. there is nothing you can check apart from cleanliness but you will feel a difference in the engine noise if the oil is changed (this is also subjective and depends on people some feel some do not feel even if they put full synthetic.)
Seems like most of it is on trust on the SVC, then has anyone got their bike serviced from:
M/s YAMAHA FACTORY SHOP - MUMBAI;
C/o YAMAHA MOTOR INDIA SALES PVT LTD;
"SHAKTI";
PLOT CST NO. 1087;
NEW LINK ROAD;MALAD (WEST);
MUMBAI - 400 064;
MAHARASHTRA
If yes, what is your opinion of it?Always assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

I reckon it should be the other way around. How many pot holes do you find on a race trackOriginally posted by Arish View PostThere must be some difference in the quality of the alloys...I think R15 is made for racing....it must be having high quality alloys...
But if you think about it, the R15 is more pricier so the extra price might fetch better quality rims?? No idea.Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
But its how fast you get up, that matters.....

Who said you cant tour on FZ?Originally posted by raghavtlwr View PostThe Fazer is supposed to be a touring bike, right?
And it is just an FZ with fairing!
So why can't the FZ go touring?
seriously ive toured A LOT without any complaints!
Yeah FAZER should have had better top end...but then thts what happens when you try to categorize puny enginesOriginally posted by Binoy View PostFazer is supposed to be a tourer only in the eyes of Yamaha
... A street bike with a fairing need not be a tourer,
in my opinion a Fazer can be a very good tourer if it has a more top end cruising speed(like ZMA) and also good pillion comfort

Mileage sucked...
Well guys I got my FAZER on 13th August....
Did a tank fulll ~12 litres.....
Covered 302 kms .... the reserve indicator (only fuel logo blinks) on the fuel meter started blinking....I am shocked...
Refilled the tank today....
Did a tank full .... which was with 11.95 litres
So the mileage has come up to 27.58 km/litre..
I guess tats way too low...
1. Is it due to the Run-In period...and can i expect it to increase afer 1st or 2nd service...
Any comment...suggestions...experiences....

hey rkakkar, I too got my bike this saturday, completed 200km on the ODO in 2 days. I fitted the extra mudguard assembly which i bought from local spare shop at Rs. 80 and the mechanic took Rs. 20 for fiitting. Just tell the local shop owner that you want mudguard for FZ he will provide you.Originally posted by rkakkar View PostI have my first service coming up this week so have some questions:

the blinking fuel indicator does'nt mean that your bike's come to reserve. The bike runs for around 40-50 more kms after the fuel logo starts blinking in the ON state.. After that 1.2L more for reserve.Originally posted by hemantbetala View PostWell guys I got my FAZER on 13th August....

So i guess you'll get a good mileage. Dont worry and enjoy your ride. Make sure not to run on high rpms in run in period of the engine.
Cheers
