Any place I can find the chain lube and spray the svc guys use?? I want t buy n do it myself regularly.. I think the spray was Motul
the motul spray and lube costs around 480bucks each.... why do you want to spend 900 rs on a 1400rs spare part that too when they will increase the life of the chain by a couple of kms...

Intresting.. so the chain plus both the sprockets cost 1400????

The thing is that the bikes response after chain lubed is much different than when not!!!
I'd rather be fast than invisible!!!!!

the chain costs 773rs and the rear sprocket cost is 243rs and the cost of front sprocket is around 120rs...

the 1400 was the cost of r15's chain and sprocket set.... which if you install in fz the top speed and acceleration will increase but say goodbye to mileage gives around 25kmpl....

the motul chain lube and spray are a very good option infact the best available in the market which should be definitely used if the cost of these parts are more than 2000-3000
the difference you found might also be psychological.....
i have been using motul lube from the past 1000km lubing at regular intervals of around 300km and didnt find much of difference in smoothness but yeah it helps in case of rust....

at any time you can use kerosene to clean your chain....

have you ever ridden a bicycle? if not then you wouldnt understand how oiling the chain helps. its not psychological lol yamaha recommended lubing schedule is 500kms according to internet 750kms. try not lubing for 1000kms and then see the difference.

            • As usual, I cleaned my chain and sprocket with diesel and lubed with gear oil. Everytime there was kind of sound from chain which gradually subsided after 2-3 km run, but this time its making lot of noise even after 200+ km running. WHat can be the problem???

Both ASCs are running overload and they can't return my bike in 2-3 days.

i am not saying it might be fully psychological but i dont find any difference after lubing that might be coz i am keeping my bike already lubed up......

As per my knowledge, the rear tyre costs sum where between 2.5k to 3k
or the price 1400 is for another manufacturer which am not aware of?

its about spending less and wanting more.... that is the only reason aftermarket parts have a market in India....
although some people do it because they get something over and above what others in the same league have...

chk the chain for slackness it might be touching the swingarm...

                          • I'm still in the run-in period and keep it at 60 max in the 5th gear .. i've covered about 430 kms so far .. however i have noticed that as i approach 60 .. like around 58-59 i can start feeling vibs in the bike and they increase as i touch 60 (in 5th) .. although i don't cross beyond that so don't know if they continue/get worse :P .. is this normal?
