      • 1st service..... after tat... engine stalling...

        Got my 1st service done,,,,today (14th Aug-10)..of my Fazer....after 398 kms of run......

        They changed
        Engine Oil ( charged Rs 230 from me)
        Washed the vehicle
        Cleaned the air filter.
        Lubricated Brake ,chain,clutch pedals..
        **The service man forgot to screw two of the screws on the engine and started d engine... so about 100 ml of the NEW ENGINE OIL spilled... IS IT A PROBLEM... so effectively 900 ml went in ....

        The bike s like creamy nd smooth after d Engine oil change... I can literally feel d change...
        But there s been a problem....
        The Engine s stalling on 2nd gear..(mostly on 2nd gear...sometims in 3rd too). ..jhatke de raha hai....dhap dhap dhap..... i have to accelerate harder to stop..nd by the time engine stall stops the rpm goes till 3.5K rpm...... But its sometimes difficult in traffic...

        The feel s like same as there is no petrol .. nd the bike stops starts stops and starts... (in fraction of seconds)... Thats wat is STALLING....in layman s words

        Wat can be the reason....

        1...Is the spark plug need to be cleaned (which I suppose wad nt done in d servicing)
        2.. Or due to the spillage of the engine oil... (Mentiond above and image attached)
        3.Idling speed is low... (which was not altered during the servicing and is about 1200 rpm ( a little above 1 on the rpm meter ))

          I've faced the same issue that you have mentioned when I rode with the choke turned ON by mistake.
          Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
          But its how fast you get up, that matters.....

            PLs help.
            if the spark plug is at fault i think it will give the problem in first gear as well.... try setting a higher idle rpm at about 1500.... the spillage of engine oil just means that you might have to change it a bit earlier than the regular duration.
            the problem might be with the carb try getting it cleaned once again and take the bike to svc for it yell at them to do it correctly otherwise they will say come back at the next service...

                    not bad but dirty.... get it cleaned sometimes some dirt just sticks in it and creates problem

                        No you dont have to get it cleaned now..it can easily run 15k-20k kms with out any cleaning.

                            Well the reason is that I've got a Bullet and FZ is not getting it's fair share of rides nowadays. Rear tyre recently changed and bike serviced regularly. Apart from a good conditioned bike, I'm giving along a some Free Accessories:
