I had the same issue when the bike was new , I could feel the vibes between 56- 60 kms. Don't know when it went away.

thts the first time im hearing!
I agree the quality is not great, but I dont think its that bad to break off that easily. I had an accident too but all the level got were a few scratches. That and the bar-end and the rear view mirror. But nothing broke. My crash guard took most of the brunt. Had to replace that though...

Exactly.. I'm still curious how the levers broke without crashing.. My bike was in stand-still when she toppled over.. the handlebar and end grip got ruined but nothing happened to the lever.

            • Really surprising , so many guys with broken levers ... i still don't think the levers are of poor quality , how do u guys judge that ?
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Noy just like that....a guy on a R15 made his bike smooch mine with a thud at the traffic signal (mind you i didnt fall. was just a minor jerk)....

And then that jerk took off.....i went ahead a little and voila the brake lever is in my hand when i applied it.....
So i can vouch for the not so superior quality......
                  cheers.

LOL. He's got a R15 and cant handle it... he hit you where exactly. On the handlebars? I cant imagine that. But yeah. that is scary. You apply the brake and it comes off in your hand. Hope nothing bad happened after that.

I still havent heard from Yamaha about my shortage of spares compliant. Will keep you guys posted.

                    • Got my bike from the first service .. The bill mentioned the following things:

                      Kms run: 464
                      .....................
                      Yamalube - 415
                      Oil filter - 55
                      ....................
                      Total - 470

I hope that includes it all .. I though they would change the engine oil too given the metal particles in it due to a new bike!

er...they did change the engine oil right?
the YAMALUBE uve mentioned is the engine oil.

                            Yup...even i thought what a dud...he couldnt handle a R15...
even i couldnt comprehend the crash but i my bike was a little tilted as i was
looking for the fuel knob and BANG!.......

At first i thought he hit the handle bar then later on realised it wasnt......
then had to cautiously go to the SVC with only the rear brake functional...
maybe it was just mine...hence the quality conclusion.....Period.
any more questions are welcome though....
                            cheers.....

Whoa that is a lot for a free service. I hope the Yamalube includes Chain lubing too coz mineral oil cost only 220Rs.

And ya Yamalube is the engine oil. I know lubes kinda hard to associate with oil from Indian POV but it is

And any reason for replacing the oil filter?? I still havent replaced mine from the date of purchase. What I was interested to know is do we have to replace the oil filter if we switch from mineral to synthetic? Guys what say?

this price of yamalube is for the semi-synth one i guess.... but its grade is different from what is recommended for FZ....
as far as the filter goes the owner's manual says it to change it every time you change the oil but normally i change it alternately....
