But its how fast you get up, that matters.....

Ok but I have noticed that if I even go close to 5K vibs start in my bike .. is that normal and should I still rev it further?

it depends on the gear you are in....
if you are in anything less than 4th gear @5k rpm you will get vibes but above that you shouldnt get any till at least 7-8k rpm.....
but it might be there because the bike is new....

            They changed
Engine Oil ( charged Rs 230 from me)
            Washed the vehicle
            Cleaned the air filter.
            Lubricated Brake ,chain,clutch pedals..
**The service man forgot to screw two of the screws on the engine and started d engine... so about 100 ml of the NEW ENGINE OIL spilled... IS IT A PROBLEM... so effectively 900 ml went in ....
            (IMAGE ATTACHED))

The bike s like creamy nd smooth after d Engine oil change... I can literally feel d change...
But there s been a problem....
The Engine s stalling on 2nd gear..(mostly on 2nd gear...sometims in 3rd too). ..jhatke de raha hai....dhap dhap dhap..... i have to accelerate harder to stop..nd by the time engine stall stops the rpm goes till 3.5K rpm...... But its sometimes difficult in traffic...

The feel s like same as there is no petrol .. nd the bike stops starts stops and starts... (in fraction of seconds)... Thats wat is STALLING....in layman s words

            Wat can be the reason....

1...Is the spark plug need to be cleaned (which I suppose wad nt done in d servicing)
2.. Or due to the spillage of the engine oil... (Mentiond above and image attached)
3.Idling speed is low... (which was not altered during the servicing and is about 1200 rpm ( a little above 1 on the rpm meter ))

            PLs help.
I tried experimenting with the IDLING SCREW,.....
Rdeuced the rpm to about 1000 rpm... and I guess the stalling is reduced....
BUT I guess Reducing shd cause more stalling...

            ???? Confused..

Can anyone explain the pros and cons of reducing the idling speed... Is it gonna effect in any way on d engine... I am in RUN_IN period..
Does it increase mileage... I am in typical city limits.. mostly drive in 2-3 gear....max 4th....

            Help

so what your saying is your engine stalls in the 2nd and 3rd gear and wen you accelerate that the RPM hits 3.5k ??? so at wat RPM are you shifting into 2nd ? or 3rd ? ... shift at around 4.5k RPM and then check ...

about the idling , that sure is confusing , if you reduce the idling the stalling should happen in the first two gears or everytime you slow down ...

P.S: got my air-leakage problem attended to , apparently it was a beading leak , so they've cleaned it up n re-installed the tyre , now just crossing my fingers and hoping with all hope that it solves the problem
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

My gear shifts are as below
                1st gear : upto 11km/h
                2nd gear : upto 23 km/h
                3rd gear : upto30 km/h
Don know the rpms... I usually don rev very high...nt above 4.5k(rarely)

you are buying a bike which ahs run17k km in less than an year????? my fz is almost one year old and only 6500 km on the odo.... on an average people do somehwhere around 12k in one year.... the cost of the plastic part is 219rs.... about the work to be done before buying it depends on the condition of the bike.... the battery charges itself when the engine is running.... get the bike checked by a trustable mechanic and see what he has to say about it...
no need to go for k&n not much of use apart from the sound....

speed is good for any bike until and unless its a superbike..... and speed will give you a better mileage but the difference will be just of 1-2kmpl and not more..... moreover the mileage depends on the way you drive try keeping the rpms <5-6k in fifth gear you will get the best mileage...

Keeping your riding style constant, speed's insignificant increase in mileage is not worth the increase in cost. For best mileage upshift at 4.5-5K rpm in each gear.

                          • is SPEED a higher octane fuel? if yes it isn't recommended for FZ's engine.
p220 naturally provides better mileage anyway.

i dont think the warranty will be void if you are using the same specification horn dont change the output value.....

and if it is changing sound with either brake or head lights on i suggest you to get your battery checked before changing the horn....
