          • i do have a question for you guys,

my wife wants to ride my fz but she has to tip toe to stand the bike upright.
is there away to lower the riding height of the FZ? is so, how to do it?

again, thanks in advance for your replies.

            • @sydney - interesting mod there man.. the 20 + bhp of the 220 engine will actually give the FZ the power to go with the looks... expecting some wheel spin on this one..

@3 kings - you could purchase another seat, get it shaped/scooped lower for the rider, so it will be more comfortable for her to ride, and your riding stance will also not get spoilt. Though if she can take the weight of the bike on one leg, and one foot firm on ground, its ok for her to start learning and riding the bike for beginning. Then you can invest in the seat mod.

              • Last saturday I took my bike for the second service. i asked the svc guys whether I could use a night breaker instead of the suppiled beams..
But they said it may cause damage to my assembly due to over heating and my warranty will go void..

AnyBody using night bereaker has got any probs due to over heat??

                    Hi Rajeesh,

I've been using Osram NB since last 6 months now and haven't faced any problem with assembly or battery draining.

Many riders have used it and haven't faced with any issue whatesoever.

As I have FZ-S it's headlight got something in Side too so should I paint it black or yellow??

And before painting will it he have to take the paint off??

And what will be the approx cost?

My SVC itself changed the stock headlamp to the OSRAM NB i gave them
no the NB dont cause any damage to the reflectors,it MIGHT shorten the reflectors life a little bit.i know ppl who have been using it for more than a year and so far no probs!
jst change it by yourself or by a local mechanic ,dont let the SVC know abt it

                            • @krates - the black work is stickering. or you could even do the following. ( for the tank sides ) - Paint the panel black. Put on the stickering ( any color ), and then paint the panel yellow. once the paint dries, remove the stickering, and then clear coat the panel ( lacquer coat ) So the stickering becomes permanent, and no risk if it getting damaged by the knees etc.

to prepare the panel for paint, you will have to get the original finish removed by sanding with sandpaper and making the surface rough for the paint to bond correctly.

will adjusting the monoshock help in lowering seatheight as well?
if so how do you go about it?
