But thats seem strange, the planet DSG guys have ti, why doesn't the NGK website
I asked this question to them(planetdsg)... they said NGK website is rarely updated and spark plug is available for FZ... anyways it seems to be no problem so far... otherwise it may not correctly fix...

I filled 2.9 litres of petrol for Rs.150 from a "trusted" petrol pump. The mileage indication was 36-37kmpl. ( This included zipping at 70 km/hr for around 8-10km).
I went to the same pump and filled exactly 1 litre of petrol. The mileage is now 47kmpl.

Is there a problem with the fuel or with the tripmeter or with the bike?

Another problem I have noticed is the increasing sound with the chain.
Is a tighted or loosened chain favourable?

Did you had any services in between?
I was also getting some 36-37 Kmpl, but after my second service it is around 44.( I neither had any complaints abt mileage nor asked them to tune down my machine for some mileage)

Other possibility is that you might have rided around 50Kmph when u filled exactly 1 ltr..

There are many cases where FZ has faulty speedo, tacho and fuel guages.. but never heard any complaints abt faulty odo or trip meters.

If u feel there is some prob with ur chain, I suggest to take ur bike immediatly to the svc. They will make it perfect for u..

I agree with HydBiker.. testing with 3-4 ltrs of peterol will do better..

      • hi guys,

Recently had a crash on my bike in which my handle, meter and light was damaged and all these has been repaired also the guy said that he had repositioned the front forks ( i don't know what he was talking about)

Now the problem i am facing is that the handle seems to be bent to me but the guy at svc saying its straight.

So is there any way to check wheather handle is bent or not ??????

        • When I apply the front brakes, I hear a small sssshhh... sound. SVC people told me that it is common with the disk brakes..
Any body else experienced the same?

I think they have replaced and not repaired your handle meter and light.
they might have strightened your forks from a mechanical workshop.

Park your bike near another FZ and just compare the handle bars..

Do you find ur bike pulling you to any sides while riding? If so it could be prob with the forks.
In a stright road ( better try in the top gear), take both of your hands from the handle bar.. If the bike goes stright with out any sidewise pulls, there is no prob with ur forks also.. be careful while doing this.. do it in stright roads where there is not much traffic and make sure u and ur bike are safe..

Then why dont you visually compare it with another FZ's handle bar and make sure whether urs has got any bends or not?
I dont know any another way to check it out..

                      • Guys today was a bad experience with the bike......
I went to work and while returning home the bike's starter wudnt work.....

The bike was strated around 4-5 times in the whole day....but suddenly starter
went kaput at the end of the day....still its dead.....
had to do it the old fashioned LUNA moped way.....push it and release the
                        clutch in gear....

The 5th service was done 5 days ago.....and it was acting weird from day one....
didnt know it wud betray me like this.....

Earlier when the bike was started, the RPM wud go directly to the 1200-1400 range....
this is the way it sould be .....rite????
But after the service the RPM wud start from 200 and slowly go upto 1200...
I think this has something to do with starter going down today....
                        What say fellas?????

Have you checked the battery level. Bcos if you had kept the bike without riding, the battery must have gone low. I suggest you go and fire the SVC guys.

Another option would be to fit the kick starter at 2500 rs. For a failsafe situation
                                Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.
