When I said rear light I mean the rear brake light... Isnt it supposed to turn ON only when I apply the brakes...

                    • o....got it.You mentioned that you observed this while returning home,so it's only natural that we think it was evening...must be some problem with the wires.OR,maybe the parking light was on...do check that

Ok. yeah. wasnt clear before. When I park my bike @ home, i turn OFF the head lights and push the bike and while stopping I normally notice a red glow in my shed (when I apply the brake). this time I'm saw the glow even while pushing. (and if anyone has any further doubt, no, i was not applying the brakes while pushing... ) Thats when i realized something's wrong...

I'd laugh too but I already knew what a "bra" in automobile context meant. I believe "bra"s are a common for the front of cars and "trucks" in the US. Search for "car bra" and you'll see what I mean.

It's a genuine IYML part/accessory and that's the name on the box.

It must be the brake light. It's usually the rear brake light switch that's at fault. To check, press hard on the rear brake lever with your hand and release suddenly. If this doesn't switch off the light, then adjust the position of the switch by turning the adjusting nut on the switch.

Refer page 6-17 of the manual.

If by chance, it's the front brake switch that's defective, pull on the rubber boot surrounding it (it's the rubber cylinder next to the master cylinder and unplug one wire and wrap it with insulation tape until you get the switch replaced.

Dude, there is a small brake sensor for rear brake. In that there is a spring. If the spring is stucked, this type of problem will happens. Get it checked with SVC.
