    • update on tyre issue , SVC fixed the puncture with the regular strip but gave NO guarantee for it as they say the puncture length is too big ... he told me to take it to the place where they fix lorry tyre punctures and ask them to patch it from the inside ... ..
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

        • 60W is good enough compared to stock h/l. HID scatters light, and is harmful for opposing traffic. 100W is the best both for you and opposing traffic too!

The best idea is to leave the bike with a trusted friend and ask him to start the bike every day for 5 minutes and to ride occasionally .( be careful with occasional. )
Or the first thing is to remove the battery connections. Try to fill the bike with minimum reserve of petrol. Get a nice tarp cover and cover the bike.

When you return first thing, give the bike for service.

                  • I have 100W and I definitely prefer it. But mine is a modified P150. On FZ you should be able to go upto 60W only. Try it out. If you dont like it (reflector design matters a lot here), go for HID. 100W is not possible w/o mods.

                    • recommended yamaha service station???

                      :-)

hey people i am really disappointed with my previous servicing at the yamaha centre in ahmednagar city.

i request if someone may recommended a good service point in pune for my fzs. i have my 4th free servicing coming up in a week and could really use some good advice.

also if someone could share wat their experience has been after k&n filter and rejetting and where they got it done from for their fz. planing to get it done if the feedback is good. all the googling has been very sketchy in details!

dude its a good investment... though its slippery for the pillion rider and for long rides it may start to prick you if ur wearin something like addidas sweats or parachute material<not sure whether thts wat its called> ....

but looks awesome and will keep ur butt and nuts coool... if not your head!

The k & n filter works great for performers like apache, karizma and pulsars but for fz, the results are mixed.

You can get a 20% increase in performance and with 10% increase in efficiency, from what I heard.
My friend fitted one on his fazer but he feels that there hasn't been much of a difference. The top speed is changed from 115 to 122km/hr. And there won't be any drastic change in pickup.

I suggest go for a proper tuning toward maximum power and it would be enough for any fz.

Are you sure about those %ages vinchel.. Coz to me 20% inc in perf + 10% increase in FE is friggin worth it...

The Fazer got a 7 km/hr increase from 115. Thats like 6%... That to me is worthless..
                              Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
But its how fast you get up, that matters.....

                              • i really doubt Vinchel's claim...all ive seen so far is ppl regretting their choice for opting K&N(or any other aftermarket filters) and some using it only for the "sound".
and this is for all the Indian bikes, except ZMR of course.

but if there is any mech who can jet and tune it perfectly and attain even half of vinchels claim!....it will be awesome.
