        Again pour soapy water on the area that you suspect and observe for bubbles. That is the only way. Puncture in the grooves is really a pain. Didnt you a mushroom cap fix for this??

          I tried but no bubbles from that region , i'm just wondering if it's too small a leak to be detected that way ... no the SVC did the normal fix on it ...

            today i bought a veedol (coudnt find the motul 5100) grade 10w40 full synthetic oil for the fz will be changing the oil after 2 weeks....

            i got the 1 litre veedol for 270bucks.... can anybody tell me hows it before i put???

              Help Help!!!!

              Hey guys, i need a chain sprocket kit for my FZ and also the fuel tap thingi below the tank as there is a leak in it

              Pearl yamaha (Hyderabad) doesnt have them!!! I have been asking them for months, all they say is they will get in a few days but nothing happens.....

              Or is there any other alternative for the above two??

                My FZ got a month old today. Since I fractured my collar bone, I couldn't ride it much. I has been ridden only 150 km. The manual says that the first service should be at 1000km or 30 day from purchase. Should I get it serviced or ride it more????????

                  you should get it serviced because you wont be able to avail the firs free service once it passes and also you might want to skip the oil change....

                    what is the max mileage that FAZER 150 owners can expect ?

                    Guys,
                    I own a FAZER 150, which I got for myself about a month ago.
                    I have no complaints with the bike. The bike's handling is superb, and so is its acceleration and sound. But the thing that makes me worry is that it's mileage is pretty too low for a bike in that category.

                    I am currently getting a mileage of 32-34 kmpl approx.
                    Before FAZER I had Pulsar150 DTSi, I had a lot of other complaints about that bike but never thought about the mileage.

                    What is the max mileage you guys get ?? Can any1 suggest me a way to improve the mileage to 40 kmpl ?

                    I serviced my bike about a week ago but still the mileage didn't improve that much, I am currently staying at pune.

                      i get an average of 40-42kmpl but yeah you cannot compare the average of fazer or fz for average with other bikes as these bikes are not tuned for average....

                        Thats what i get for my FZ too.
                        The only option you have is to ask your SVC to tune it for mileage but you will lose some power.

                          ......32-34 is good......i get 28-30kpl.....that's because of my high revving riding style.....if you're riding within 55-60kph you should be getting more.....the SVC guys will de-tune it for you.....but then you'll lose power...

                            Would there be any issues if the handle bar of FZ16 is chromed. I intend to change the color from black to chrome.If yes, are chromed FZ handle bars available in market?

                              I cant think of any issues with that but im pretty sure none such bars are available in the market

                                @jacob - send a email to yamaha, or call up their customer care, and complain regarding the non availability of parts at the dealership. Thats the only way to fix the dealer for good.
