oh 500kms is really good, but i heard motul will last upto 300kms with every time you apply... SAE 140 dosen't last upto 500, it's worth upto 200kms for every single time apply...

i can't get the exact problem, what's racer by which you mean?

i think its's because of the under bracket issue, get it checked in SVC

ya the small bearing holdind the t and connecting the handle bar
is called racer i hope!
anyways its just below the chrome bolt holding the handle bar!

Exactly!!!! I wrote to Yamaha india and complained about the same!!!! Got a ton calls today from all over yamaha and finally from pearl yamaha.

Seemingly we have to place an order for the F$#@# spareparts

finally the spares manager agreed to call me back once they stock arrives....

Hey all,
Maybe my first intro to FZ riders. Plz guys need an urgent help, my friend brought a second hand FZ-S, going for his first engine oil change tomorrow.
Bike completed 8000kms.. So any ideas which one to go for..? Which is the best..?

(Though I know the info is already available in this thread maybe somewhere..

but ya guys a direct reply would be sooooo helpful.)

fz 16 gear shift problem

since past 1 week i am facing this gear shift problem.
example: (when i try to down shift from 5th gear to 4th, or 4th to 3rd the gear lever doesn't comes back to its original position),happens for all gears. feels that there is no down shift and turns on to be smooth without any further down-shift gears, is it a problem of gear lever spring or something else, is it a problem of my gear box or the gear shift lever(paddle).
what do i need to tell to yamaha servicing people about this problem. how do i explain them, does any one facing the same problem on their fz? sometimes i cannot change my gear. my bike is about 1 and 1/2 year old now.
any solutions?

yamaha servicing people will put yamaha LUBE. and they will recommend no other than YAMAHA LUBE.

Any oil with the xW40 grade... am currently using Motul 10W40 semi syn. which is good...

Guys my insurance for the bike has gone kaput ! so will the showroom guys renew it if i go there ?

EDIT: went to SVC , gave the photocopy of the RC book and got the new insurance there itself

You can go to any insurance agent or directly to an insurance company. If the previous policy has expired, you will need to take the bike with you for inspection. The inspection is done by an authorised third party and will charge you about Rs. 100 or so. I don't know if the No-claims rebate will be carried over to the new policy in case the old policy has expired.
