  • Repaired the puncture. There were two brand new nails, seems like somebody did it on purpose . 100 per hole, but paid only 100. The cashier billed only for one, I didn't correct her. They charged 100 for filling nitrogen from me, only 30 at other places.

Then straight to Muthoot Yamaha. I saw the puncture sealant there, was planning to get them. After inquiring price, had enough and left home . 650 for single tyre pack and 1300 for both tyres.

        • Some pics of my bike !! Only 3 months old.

          I have some questions-

          1. Should I keep the leg/crash gaurd? coz somewhere I read that it can cause some problems to the frame of the bike???

          2. I recently got that mudgaurd extended(Last pic). Does it do a good job?
coz all my pillions are get irritated of all the dirt that is thrown at them.

          Thanks.

Its effective. No more sprays from behind, but still there is spray from the side [the foot rest area].

I don't have a crash guard, so no comment about that

I am staying at the SVC till my bike gets serviced in front of me so that any after service issues will be avoided.

I will be be using Yamalube 4-Stroke Oil - 20W50
But oil change with filter requires 1.2L of oil and the oil can consists 1.0L. So how can I manage this??
Firstly.. dont put in w50 dude.. the recommended grade is xxW40. And if u'll be using yamalube, why would u buy engine oil separately? u get it at the svc itself.

and 1L oil is required for a top up. 1.2 is required when the whole engine is drained. it gets managed

Park light is just 3 white LEDs soldered in series with a 100 ohm resistor. Custom size and plug and play

                  • Hello all, my fz 16 has been in the garage for exactly 2 months now since I was out of station for a training course. The bike is being started every 2 days and I ride 50-100km when I am at home every 2 weeks. Will there be any problem to the battery?
                    Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

Guys i have been facing a problem. On the highway the fz runs outta steam since the gearing is too short. I was looking into sprocketing. However i checked at Yamaha they have 40T, 42T, 44T for the FZ and R15. I am looking forward to make the gearing taller. Has anyone fitted a 39T/38T sprocket on a FZ(from any other bike) and how is the performance? Also there is a Pune based sprocket maker "SPROCKTEC" has anyone got info on them? Please help me out guys.

In the User guide it is mentioned that you can use W40 or W50 its ok. And I am buying oil seperately because the SVC stock the oil in barrels and so we doesn't know the actual specifications of oil. Lastly I dont rely on them

hey dude just disconnect the battery terminals when the bike will be in unused for many days. Also switch off the petrol knob. Its good for engine

Keep the Crash guard. They do the job. And your's look even better than the butterfly ones. I've seen this types only on the Bullets.

Are you very very sure about W40 or W50 part.

So far I've never seen any bike/car maker recommending two different grades of engine oils.

Please confirm this. Coz from what I've read in this thread it is W40 only. My manual also says the same.
