    I used Petronas 10W40 fully synthetic oil. So far I have done 3000 kms on it and it is getting a lil rough already (not too much though)..

    I asked in this forum about the change interval and they said that the oil will easily last 5000 kms. Other than that, I really don't know about the periodic top ups

    Is it required to change the oil mid-run? I was planning on continuing with this only till the harshness became very obvious and then change it up even if I dont get to 5000 kms.

    Please enlighten me

      Bingo,I just checked the FE today and it is about 46 km pl. I have one question,I want to switch over to Shell Engine oil from the First service itself,will it be alright ? And should I switch over to FS ?

        I think you must use Yamalube 20W-40 oil because it is recommended by Yamaha and I am also using it and now my gears are smooth after first service. FS is strictly not recommended from the first service itself.

              Fuel Gauge indicator not functioning properly

              Hi Guys,

              I have got trouble with my fuel gauge indicator, cause it never show the right reading. During reserve it shows half tank. They(Yamaha) simply can't fix it. I think its big procedure, they said we have to remove the tank and all, bla bla bla . It never was right from the beginning and they could not fix it for the first 5 service , hopefully it get done in the next service. Is this common

                Make sure that you drive your bike at various speeds. I mean u take it over 4.5 K RPM keep there for say about 2 mins and again bring it back under normal speeds.
                This will help you to expose your engine at various speeds and it will behave normally above 4.5K after the 1st service.
                But remember to not drive continuously for a longer period above 4.5K before the 1st service.

                  Get it replaced from the SVC. One of my friend was having the same issue, he got it replaced from the SVC free of cost.

                      Hello all ,
                      I am buying this bike in mid october , i am 6ft tall would it be comfortable for me , i have not ridden it yet , but it looks like its a short bike , and is there any difference between fz16 and fzs other than colors and windsheild ?

                        hey ! yeah it should be okay for you , i'm also 6ft and i have absolutely no problems with it ... and NO i don't think there is any difference between the fz16 and the fz-s other than what you have already mentioned ...

                              Hey dude no worries i m 5 11 and the bike isn a short as it looks
                              I would say a good choice u made

                              FZ n FZ-S jus hav the diff u said also FZ-S has full black side covers while its silver in FZ 16 also the visor is available at showrooms fr some 500-600 bucks which u can fit to ur FZ-16

                                Thanks RAK i sure would try this out i wanna get the 1st service done asap n rev this beast cant resist the urge to sprint it in the vacant highways jus 60 kms over yet
