Hi Could you send the pic of PCV Valve once again.... and could you also guide a littile how to change it of to clean it.....

but seriously, It can be from a number of things.
      time/km since last oil change
      cam chain not tensioned
      burnt valve/s (too lean)
      valve tappets need adjustment
      cam timing is out
      worn sparkplug
high tension (HT) lean earthing out
      CDI/electrics connection loose
      carb tuning (too lean/rich)
      carb blocked
      Carb choke stuck on/partly on
cat converter collapsed (very rare but can happen)
      bad fuel
      worn piston rings
      blocked airfilter
      PCV blockage

The list can go on and on. Need more details.[/QUOTE]

          Hai Guys

My 2010 FZS is going strong. Now the rides have shortened to only 6 kms/day as I use the CL350 for long distance >40kms. Now the 6kms/day is the ride to the railway station everyday. Since my office is 45 kms from my home, I prefer the railways to cut cost. unfortunately the railway station parking area does not have a shed it is open. So rain or shine she is exposed to the elements. For more than a week it has been raining cats and dogs in chennai. But my baby did not give any hiccups till yesterday. She started and after warming the engine for 30 secs I moved on. After about 500 mtrs she stopped in the middle of a heavy downpour. As a avid DIY person my first instinct is to check the spark plug and its cable. No problem there. Next checked the carburettor and when checked for the flow of petrol I was astonished to find that petrol is not flowing from the tank. I just filled her 2 days ago for Rs.500. So there is no chance that there is no petrol least if there was a theft involved. Checked the fuel level through the filling end and found petrol. So the culprit was the fuel tap. It should have been cogged with dirt. The only option I had was very close to me - a cycle shop. I asked the mechanic there if I can use their pneumatic air for cleaning purpose. The mechanic readily showed thumbs up. So I removed the tube from the fuel tap ad opened the fuel filling cap and blasted air through the fuel tap. Now all the sediments and dirt shot out of the tap and the route was clear for the fuel to flow. I attached all the tubes and allowed the fuel to flow to the carburettor and fill it up. Then after 5 mins of waiting she sprung to life at the first click of the starter switch.

I do the regular maintenance to my baby and replace worn parts if necessary since I am a pure DIY person. But it never came to my mind the fuel tap also needs regular maintenance. So guys please add fuel tap cleaning/replacing in your maintenance check list.

          Cheers

Good to see you back on the thread and hope you are healthy and enjoying the bull.

Yes, a lot of dirt gets accumulated in the bottom cap of the fuel tap. I had also opened that by chance last year and found it filled with dirt. Haven't touched it since then. Gotta take a look at it soon.

            Ride safe and have fun.

If you have a good relation with your service manager, he will find a way. else it's void.

See, it's all up to the service manager. And as for the extended warranty, it will also get void if they decide to void the warranty for the delay in service.
You should check with the service center tomorrow.
