  • Please Help Me!!!

    hey folks, how are you?

Please answer my question's which is in bold?

    my old problem:-
"when i put the FZ in 2nd gear or any gear, and then i rev the FZ about 4.5k to 5k RPM, and then let off the accelerator (means leaves of the accelerator) then some kind of "pat"-"pat" sound is coming from exhaust, i don't what its called Misfire or Backfire OR its just normal FZ exhaust note OR i m running on slightly lean mixture."

today gone to SVC he said get carburetor clean "phat"-"phat" sound will go? => what you think guys?

    for above query
Divya Sharan Sir said => Yes, that is a misfire. If it is in a sequence of 3-4 phat phut sounds in <10 sec or so, it is a case of lean mixture.
Also, it would be wise to get the compression checked to see if there's any leakage.

Ashish Sahay said => Yes the vaccum leak must be the problem as suggested by jith_in. Most vulnerable point of leak is junction of carb to afr mixture.

    My FZ Details
    oct 2009 model, without kick
    ODO 25,000KM
    6 years old.

How will i know is that i m running on lean or rich mixture? (Photos of spark plug below, sorry for photo quality, it won't happen next time)

How and where to get compression checked?

How to find out any vacuum leak and get it fixed?

UPDATE:- as i m reading fz thread from while ago, i remember reading that misfire can happen because of the faulty air-filter or faulty air induction system, what your thoughts on this people? can't remember which page now.

Engine is virtually untouched so far. Only some wear and tear stuffs like pistons rings and clutch plates at some 50-60k km. And decarb 2 times.

Guys I am facing a major problem my Bike petrol is leaking whenever I park my bike in side stand in a high slope area. When I park my bike in side stand in my home( ground is Flat) there is no single drop of petrol leak. I tried draining fuel from carburetor and tightening the fuel screw from local mechanic but still problem persist. What to do now.. Please help

Guyss facing a problem, whenever i accelerate & leave the throttle there is a gap and den the bike decelerates, same when i accelerate. There's a jerk and den bike accelerates. Chain Slack is perfect at 3cms. My mechanic was suggesting that my shock has gone bad. But can a worn shock result into this? It's the same feeling that u get when our chain is loose or worn out. But my chain is brand new.

My Gixxer's handling/throttle response went a bit sluggish & awkward a few weeks back and the problem turned out to be that the air intake was blocked. Can you check if that's the case?

No no... You aren't getting my problem. Whenever i accelerate in 1st gear there is a frontward jerk like 'thuk'
and den the bike moves, same when i decelerate. There's a' thuk' then it decelerates. Its like there's some small amount of frontward - reverse play in the sproket but there isn't any...

This normally happens with worn out damper clutch. Put in center stand and gear and then rotate wheel with hand and see if there is play with rear sprocket.

Recent days, I am facing a minor sudden jerk while twisting throttle very gently during starting from standstill or while riding in 3rd gear at around 17-18 and pushing the throttle. Throttle was stuck at somewhere and producing a suden jerk and that is very annoying. I am thinking it should be the throttle cable jerk. Will I show it to nearest good local mechanic, or will go to authorised service centre. I live in Kolkata.

Try replacing throttle cable. Also check for con set

Front fork to handle connection set. Check for ball bearing or adjusting the play.
