Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Was the carb tuned after you changed to high flow air filter ?Originally posted by yasirfz16 View Postthese all were checked and cleaned well 2 months ago
Lean afr can had adverse effects on the engines health and performance.
Also, change the spark plug. Sometimes after cleaning, the gap isn't at its optimum position.
Ride safe and have fun.

When was the last time you changed the Clutch Plates? What oil are you using, grade? Has the lil level dropped after certain kms?Originally posted by yasirfz16 View PostI recently cleaned my spark plug so it is not rusted

like smell of burning of excessive engine oil...low performance like low pickup and late response when throttle is twisted not a quick response....air filter is not clogged as i hve installed high performance air filter enabling clean air to curb...spark plug is recently cleaned using sand paper

My bike1s engine is presntly sealed and its 6 year of my bike its a 2009 model but some owners here on this said to get checked the clutch plates...i just want to knw whether gettng clutch plates checked in yamaha service cntre will break the seal or not of engine???
High performance air filter, what does that mean? If you haven't tuned the carb to get the perfect AFR, the bike will run lean and you will face issues with it. IMO, avoid using such products and keep the bike stock. Their isn't any performance gain using such products. The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!
Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

No problem in getting clutch plates checked. They have to be checked/replaced at one point. Better do it now since you are having performance issues.Originally posted by yasirfz16 View Postyaa the curb was tuned in YSC...change the spark plug to the stock one or using NGK iridium Spark plug??

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Facing weird issue with the front wheel. If I rotate the front wheel in anti clockwise direction, slight screech sound comes and the wheel doesn't rotate freely. But, the sound doesn't come when rotating the wheel in clockwise direction.
Have removed and sand papered the brake pads. The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Try rotating the wheel with brake pads removed. If they aren't the culprit, then the bearings might be gone.Originally posted by devils_friend View PostFacing weird issue with the front wheel. Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Screech is because of brake pads only. The wheel rotates freely without brake pads. Brake pads aren't that old and still have good life in it.Originally posted by nadz11.ns View PostTry rotating the wheel with brake pads removed. Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
I am also using LED as pilot lamp, the light output is better & consumes lesser wattage also. Ask for SMD LEDs. And you will get in various colours.Originally posted by Aakash Singh View PostCan you please tell me the wattage, impact on battery and price of led pilot lamp.
