just have your stock exhaust with you. swap to it while testing to it.
after the tests are over and certificate is given, swap it

      • ^^ Is it so easy? I mean can I do the swap on my own? All FFE's have the same problem?

        Comment

        • ^yup it is, but you must have proper tools... better to change with mechanics, for proper fitting...
Yes all ffe have same problem.... FFE means free flow of air without obstacle(Cat con), so pollution happens...

            • ^^^ I have posted the before and after PUC test results on this thread earlier... It passes the PUC tests with comfortable margins....

              • That's a piece of bad news...okay,I have a trusted mechanic.Would go to him for fitting it. Tell me something,is it really worth buying an FFE? I hope I would get a slight increase in mileage and performance? The sound is amazing for sure.

Okay,Deville56 and Abhimanyu31, really happy to hear that.Where is ur PUC before/after posts? Or lemme search it then. Was really heartbroken to hear that.

yes it will have considerable increase in FE and very good improvment in Performance...
and looks like it passes pollution test in good margin as posted by abhimanyu31, so no swap of exhaust... enjoy....
                  yes its a great music....

I have written exclusively about Joel's FFE on this thread and my ownership experience so far. so please go through it and you will have your answers.

I had posted this video sometime back on this thread. however, due to compression the speed readings are not clear in this video: Yamaha FZ - X /Byson(called in Thailand) Joel, Race Concepts Free Flow Exhaust - Go Pro - YouTube

i was able to hit 108 kmph without sweating a breath.. and that too only using the FFE.

                    Cheers,

                    • I read in another thread that we need to change the glasswool in the FFE after 8-10months or depending upon use. Where do I get that from? Price? How do I put that glasswool in the FFE? From the back end? Do the new FFE's come with some logo of Race Concepts?

                            • Here is a GoPro video clip of my first proper ride running in my new 200cc engine. My friend is riding on a 2011 black FZ16 with a yoshi muffler and custom made header pipe, otherwise stock.
I'm almost 2X as heavy as him (100kg Vs 55kg) and can pull away/catch him with ease.

This is the same 200cc engine kit Lucky Luc had bought. We both bought it (as we found out later after meeting face to face) from the same shop. (Automotivesparepartsshop in Indo)
I had bought the 200cc cylinder, forged piston, big valve head "plug n play" kit, not to mention a truckload of junk parts (alloy swingarm, CDI, Bodykit, tapered intake)
****DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SHOP UNLESS YOU WANT TO RE-INVENT THE WHEEL OR ENJOY GETTING SCREWED OVER*****
Better off getting the 180cc kit from Race Concepts.

It took over 4months for the complete kit to arrive. Delays on the head was the excuse, not to mention incomplete head. I had to keep paying for customs duty on the parts Hary had "forgotten" ie cam, rockers, valve washers cam bearing, I still had to get another cam bearing.

Anyway, major work was needed to complete the cyl head, not to mention sourcing another forged piston(RRGS) as the piston supplied with the kit was unsuitable for the big valve head. The cam he supplied was too agressive, causing the valves to hit the piston. This piston was the wrong type as the machined reliefs were not suited for big valve head....Another fvckup from Haryono/Automotivesparepartsshop.com.

Anyway after major work to complete the head including finishing off the porting and polishing, decking the head to make it FLAT!! decompressing the cyl head, lapping the valve seats as NONE of the valves sealed!! (in a supposedly completed cyl head) changing the internal parts so they can actually work properly my bike was ready. Not to mention wrong valve guide angles!
Over 1week to finish the cyl head.

                              Enjoy the clips.
                              Clip 1.
Hitting the tunnel. I had to brake quite hard early in the clip hense you can hear the tyres squeeling under brakes.

Pass the police who just stood there watching us go by. Speed limit is around 40kph....We are doing much more than that! but they saw the bikes, big rear tyre (as Luc says) and don't bother to chase us.

Bike has done around 80kms now on a new engine. the actual bike has done less than 2000kms IIRC. Giving it a good run in with plenty of 3/4 - full throttle and deceleration.
Engine oil is full synth. Just a experiment as the only wearing parts are the rings. My theory is since only the rings are the wearing parts and engine bearings are ball bearings not shell types it will be interesting to see the rings bed in.

***edit*** Top speed was only 109kph. I wasn't going for a top speed run.
