    finally i have replace the AIS and yes that phut phut sound is gone now,if ur still confused that you should change AIS or not,lets meet up some day will give you my old AIS connect it to your bike and check it ,if the problem is solved then get a new one.

      Rear Tail bulb kaput!!

      Hi all as mentioned earlier along with my tire details post, i finally managed to get hold of the rear tail light bulb. It is a very simple DIY.. just unscrew both the screws anti-clock wise and then turn the bulb anti - clock wise and wallah it is out!!.. The filament looks alright to me.. however on top of the dome of the glass there is a huge black deposition..most likely an internal short-circuit!!.. will replace and check it. if the problem still persists then i will have to pay a short visit to the SVC and keep you guys post.

      below are the images of the non-functional bulb.

        Its a simple DIY job. I got mine replaced for 20Rs from a local store.

                both dot3 & dot 4is recommended.you can go for any one.

                  Is it for the sz? I prefer dot4 for the hot weather conditions.
                  There are no short-cuts to any place worth going. So ride safe when you are treading uncharted roads.

                    Rather than the boiling point of the fluids? Dot3 Vs Dot4

                    If you have Dot3, Flush it, replace with Dot4. Just don't be tempted to use Dot5. Its silicone based, not compatible with our bikes braking systems.

                      Engine smoothness problem in FZ-S

                      Hi All

                      I'm riding a 2009 Yamaha FZ-S which is bought in second hand. Its odo is 18000 kms. The engine is good and I ran 2000 kms.

                      But while changing gears and accelerating I'm getting beating sound. I need a refined sound like the one coming from Honda (Unicorn/Shine).
                      Will it be possible in FZ's??

                      The performance is getting reduced when riding with a pillion rider. The change is noticable. Is it common in all FZ's??
                      My tyre pressure is 30psi front and 35psi rear. Stock tyres (rear is new one).

                      Also please let me know how long can I ride the bike legally without name change (RC, Insurance).

                          Hi,

                          Do you have the service record of the bike you purchased? when was the last time the spark plug, air filter, chain & sprockets and all necessary fluids were replaced?? Which engine oil was used in the last service?? which brand?? It is difficult to judge the condition of the bike without knowing the history. Whether the earlier owner abused it or did all the necessary maintenance on time is something you will find from him only.

                          Legally you should get the bike's registration transferred to your name at the earliest.

                                dont think they can be used in fz though they have a different clamping mechanism...
