I immediately handed the bike to a service center in Chennai for 4th service apart from regular services they changed the air filter. The vibrations disappeared for a while.

I did my 5th service last week . Engine oil and spark plug were changed . I told the service guy about the problem and he said he would rectify it. after taking delivery and riding for a couple of days i am in a state of shock. The engine vibrates as if it doesn't want to go beyond 5000rpm. when i place my hand on the fuel tank, i could feel the entire tank vibrating. i don't want to take the bike to the same guys and argue.

    somebody plz enlighten me.
is there some place in Chennai where this thing can be fixed..????

Looks like we both are facing the same issue , which SVC you serviced the bike last time.

I'd like to know more about the setup. Share the tutorial if possible.

What i did was, pull the throttle slightly and then crank..Voila! Just a second and it roars like a lion. Usually it was taking 6-7 secs continous cranking, sometimes two three times.. Battery is just fine.
In your case if the battery is low, to start that in one crank you can try this too.
isn't it supposed to start without pulling the throttle ?

does it really matter if your bike starts without a little twist?
Whats so hard about giving it a slight twist as you start?
I can't understand some of you guys nitpicking on such simple little things that don't really matter.

Give it a couple twists before starting it.
Most times my bike starts just by pressing the button, othertimes I hold it slightly open while cranking it. Problem solved
Its not really a issue is it?

                  Can you get GoPro cameras?
I use the adhesive mounts to film my rides with a mount on top of my helmet and one on the fuel tank.

I also use the roll bar mount clamps to take other angles. ie front forks.

Great cameras. full 1080P HD 30FPS or 720P HD 60FPS.

                  Virtually bomb proof!!

                    hmmmm...

My bike always started without giving any twist of throttle until I changed Spark plug at ~12K km as per the manual and since then it rarely starts without a little twist. Not sure what went wrong there.
Is the little twist that we are giving to overcome something that's wrong in the bike.

Wanted to know through other experienced bikers who might had used other bikes which have electric starter, if they faced this problem with other bikes as well.

I am no expert here, but would ask you to get the bike's valve clearences checked. Get the engine bolts connected to the frame tightened once. At the same time do check the engine oil level.. If I may ask which brand was used during the service?

                          Hope this helps,

                          Cheers,

Both cables are connected to the throttle control on the carb., but one opens it and one closes it. This is not only much safer than the single cable system which has to rely on a spring to close the throttle, which can, eventually, not close when you throttle down - very dangerous! - but also much more comfortable as your wrist does not have to "fight" continuously against that spring. The former setup, as all will reckon, is quite tiring after a while.
When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!
