Suspension adjustment won't change ride height, only stiffness.Originally posted by jamiejako View Postcan the suspension be adjusted to lower the seat height? if it is possible, can anyone tell me how? if not, is there any other way to lower the seat height?#RetiredRider

yeah, remove some padding, replace stock monoshock with shorter one or you can redesign the frameOriginally posted by jamiejako View PostWell, is there any way to lower the seat height on the fz?

My new FZ-16
Hey fellas, Greetings to all the contributors to the forum like deville_56 and nand15...
I bought fz-16 in feb and should say I'm satisfied with most of the things.
And I don't know much about bike maintenance.Currently my first service is finished and I'm getting a mileage of 36-40 riding under normal speeds which is 45-65kmph. But,surprisingly I used to get around 43-45 before 1st service and now it has come down.I don't know why!!! I searched through this thread but I couldn't gather exact information due to mixed opinions in the posts. So please tell me the following things.
1) Which spray to use for Chain cleaning and Chain lubrication?( One of my friends who has been using fazer for nearly 2 years told me to use engine oil or any other cycle-chain-lubricant. His sprockets are still fine and perfect and his bike toured a total of 18k till today.)
2) Which engine oil is best?(balanced smoothness, Performance and mileage.)
3)How to get Better Mileage?( That same friend said he always gets 45-50kmpl under 50-70kmph and that reduces to around 42 in thrash mode which is beyond 80kmph.)
Is it correct that we only get good mileage after first 2 or 3 services and in the initial services the mileage fluctuates?
4)Any other measures to be taken? I'm a new comer guys!
Note; Currently my bike has toured 1700KMLast edited by sivaram; 04-30-2012, 04:15 PM.

2. No bike oil can increase your mileage. For performance and smoothness try ss and fs oils.. Motul is still the bestbrand to go for.
3. It fluctuates if idle rpm etc are changed.. Otherwise its very consistent.. After two three service you may expect slight inc in mileage.
4. Any other measure for what? I assume mileage - nothing can increase your (stock bike's) mileage from 36-40 to 45 k/l.. I am getting around 40.. Just like many others here.. If i ride in splendor mode may be i can get 45, but you are already in splendor mode! So no options here.
