okay one more doubt.along with the FFE was the filters sound audible on the RTR?
im hoping the filters sound be inaudible with the FFE :P

with the stock exhaust, the exhaust note is in the lines of K&N. the FFE along with the filter would give it a bit more bass. the filter note deftnly will not overcome the ffe note. the RTR voiced well!

@ deville - sorry didn't catch on that earlier. gotcha now. yeah deftnly not a stock replacmnt. i'm guessing u were looking it to be more on the bed platform types like in the stock.

Does anyone know if the FFE hitting mainstand issue has been fixed??Planning for the exhuast as soon as possible but I use the mainstand a lot..

Does yamaha svc can do it or not

they can but they wont do it... as they are not allowed to make any kind of aftermarket modifications in the bike...

if you know any of their mechanics personally it will be better......

My Fazer's front tyre loosing Air , on my 4th service i complained the Service guys they fixed it and it was fine for a week and again it is started.

I need to fill thrice a week to get going.

I have replaced the rubber on the mainstand and replaced it with an old signal light bed of rx100. First the material became little soft but did not melt or stick to the exhaust, so I left it like that and it seems to be holding good for now.

Just look for Anti-Puncture liquid in any good tire shop, this will solve your problem. It will cost Rs 300-400

21k kms passed, time to replace the chain sprocket and lots of other stuff. However, the genuine Yamaha Parts dealer are always out of stock of things when you need them. Chain and Sprocket are out of stock and non of the authorised dealers from Yamaha have them. Spoke to all of them but no go.

Finally, approached the local parts dealer on Grant Road, Mumbai and found out all the unauthorised parts suppliers have plenty stock of Chain n Sprockets. Checked the rates started with INR 1050 shopkeeper said its a discounted rate. Thought to give a try in another shop the price suddenly fell down to 850 then next shop it came down to 650 but the shop keeper confessed that its not from yamaha but from the VENDOR (i do not understand what exactly he meant by vendor) . However, the packaging of the chain and sprockets were the same in all the shops and it seemed as if they are made for Yamaha. Since the Yamaha dealers are out of stock and out of idea when they will have the stock I decided to buy the chain and sprocket for time being. Costed 580 bucks replacement at local mechanice charge 200.

Also attatched a pair of Bosch symphony horns, now the muscular machine has a manly voice. Runing hapily smooth again and shouting louder in the crowd.

Always buy stuffs like chain/sprocket,oil,filters,tires etc before hand.Its easy to understand when these things have to be changed.Dont wait for it to give up and then hunt for it.
