    We have never changed the gearing of any Single R15 till date, except for the race bikes since I run my own close ratio gearbox. The stock gearing is retained even on my own street R15 and all the bikes we have done till date. The engine feels more torquey and punchy that it generally gives a tendancy of going lower on revs for the same speed. Another factor is that with our PowerTRONIC ECU, the tacho error is knocked off and hence the engine will read a few rpm lower than stock. But then, not all have consumed the ECUs. The R15 reads around 7000rpm for 100kph, and a few rpms plus or minus based on your front tyre pressure. If you were fully inflated, then rpm will show lower. Thats all the logic is.

    Fuel efficiency is attained by Joel modds, is by the way in which Fuel is cooked using his custom setup and not with gearing.

    Moreover, the bike becomes under geared once you have Joeled it.

    • We are also now offering filter upgrades with the jets to suit the stock carb. Works super for the bigbore setups, even without upgrading to a larger carb.

        i just wanted to knw...
        if i fill more than recommened air in my tyres will my RPM decress for speed 100 kmph or increase???

        am i correct with the JOEl post above:-

        more AIR =MORE RPM =(BUT less speed)
        less AIR = MORE RPM = (but relatively high speed)

          thanks for the filter joel. the bike now sounds sweet!! low rumble till 'bout 4k rpm and insane (read music) aftr 6k. couldn take bike out for a long haul but the initial just got better. will write up about it in couple days. and thanks again for fixing the tappet

                i wouldn't say its noisy. its quite pleasant actually. at low rev's its not noticeable and only when you open the throttle it roars (literally!!) and boy its a charm. running only on the 180 set up.

                this is where the Simota filter sits. will try and get sm pictr's from my bike.the filter is not visible if one removes the seat. side panels will have to be taken off as well. and apparently i'm the first one to get the filter for fz.

                      i'm not really sure on the jet size. pls check with joel. yeah the carb setting was changed to match with the new filter. whilst i was getting my bike worked at joel's place happened to meet a fellow xbhpian (id: newguy) who rode all the way from Mumbai with his RTR180. his setup had a ffe along with the Simato filter. and sound did it great! now i'm tempted to get the ffe

                      edit: wat's the teeth count on the rear sprocket? planning to go couple teeth down. guess 15T at the front would be too tall.

                        Thanks a lot for the pictures!FZ's rear sprocket is 44T.

                        hmm....the carb setting bothers me.no point getting the filter if i cant get it properly done here!

                            better check with joel on that, in case its not much of a rocket science to have it tuned. guess you'd have better results with the filter since you are running on a ffe.
