    although i know i will be sticking with HID for now as i am running low on budget.
    But having a checklist/wishlist for future upgrades is always a good option.

      I am planning to get Philips 85122+.
      What else do i need ?
      Do i need a ballast ?
      if yes then a regular 35w ballast or digital 35w ballast ?

        D2S won't fit FZ headlight in stock shape. You need H4 HID.

          Like Deville mentioned. Philips 85122+ which is D2S type are for OEM Projectors and not the stock lamp.You will need regular H4 HID along with a Ballast.both should be of 35W.

            Hello Guys,

            I have a starting problem in my bike.

            To start the bike, have to give a little throttle. There is no action(nothing at all) when I press the start button, as if the engine switch if OFF.

            does this mean battery is gone? , if yes, what are the options we have as replacements.

              Get it replaced ASAP. Should not cost you more than 250Rs. The best setting is the factory setting, once you mess up with that then its trail and error. Check the color of your spark plug it will tell you all. Check this link for reference.

              If your headlights and horn is working without any issues then its not a battery problem, then get your starter motor and starter relay checked. If they are not working then it is a battery issue.

                    Guys from a bent rim , I now have a cracked rim ... It promptly gave way when they tried to fix it ...
                    People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

                      Leme share some info bout Alloys here

                      Alloy Wheel rims are made to be strong and not mailable (property of bending). Hence these Alloy wheels are prone to crack then bend....and cannot be retreated. They are treated to have very high strength to bare jolts....but as all things they have their limits and when pushed to it they rather crack then bend.
                      The are much safer then Steel rims because of strength and if bent/cracked they maintain their circular shape so that the rider does not loose control.


                      PS - Wat speed were u doin to bend the rim???

                        what speed, have you guys touched on yamaha FZ?

                        i have touched 112kmph.

                        does it go beyond that, anyone ??

                            But mine had bent and not cracked ... only when they tried to fix it did it crack ...

                            The worst part of this is that , It was friend that was riding the bike and caused the damage , I only saw it when he got the bike back home

                              117km/hr with single on a 4 lane highway and that too on a down incline..
                              99km/hr with pillion.
                              Reduce 1 km/hr speed, add 1second 2 ur life.

                                99km/hr with pillion? I have touched 110+ numerous times with a pillion when my bike was stock and so have many others...though it did take a LOOONG time
                                Maybe your A/F ratio is EXTREMELY lean??
