Its been 3 days since my red FZ16 arrived.
Even the neighbour's R15 looks tame compared to it (Ya I know I am totally biased
)
I am new to driving...learn't it 6 months ago initially on a Pulsar 220 cc & then a TVS victor.
Now practicing daily (early mornings when the cops aren't around...the LLR isn't enough to save you off course) for the DL test on the FZ16.
Amazing how light the FZ feels compared to the Pulsar ! Turning comes naturally on it. I can totally understand now why its 1 of the best city bikes out there.

I learned to ride after I got my Fazer. I had no previous riding experience. The bike is so simple and easy to ride. The best part is that the rear tyre gives beginners some amount of confidence.
Take care of your bike. Service your bike as mentioned in the manual.
Enjoy riding!Yamaha Fazer [2011]

Just mak sure that you first finish the 1000 kms run-in with those tryes.. once they set in.. you can indeed go crazy on the corners..

you do have to break them in , maybe not a 1000kms , but you have to so that the glaze they put on it to make it look good wears off completely, so that the grip level is at it's best .Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postnever heard of tyre run in before.... but will do....
but 1000km seems a bit too much....People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

1) You can opt for FFE anytime. If you are ok with decent performance then get in touch with iceman331. His friend has recently designed an FFE for him which looks good but purely on performance basis, Joel's FFE is better.
2) Suggest you get in touch with Joel, Race Concepts for the same.
3) Get in touch with RanjithMN, he can guide you better. Put HID only with projectors otherwise it is useless and even illegal.

Go ahead indeed... if budget is a major constraint then start with the FFE first and then do bigbore and head upgrade, mild lift cam, race carb and then finally CDIOriginally posted by sharma.dominator View Posti had pretty much the same quiries, was very exited about driving on a completely joel'ed FZs. oh man! doesnt the front one lasts 10-15000 km more than the rear? Was the tread still present on the front or it was that necessary..Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postmy bike got new shoes yesterday... same old stock revz.... i like them....

Regarding tyre breakin, havent heard that.. Some info for me..
Did saw f1 cars rubbing them before the start of the race to increase road grip and warm them up.. Have myself noted great difference in road grip on my santro's stock bridgestone tyres when they are warmed on the highway..

Btw is it just me or does the hand pain a little after say 40 min of riding? I do wear Scoyco gloves but still have to rest the right palm a bit. Maybe I just need to get used to the handles.

My First service on Feb 16th ...... that is the Day after .....
Approximately how much would they charge .... and Excellent Yamaha has not Given any TEFLON coating with the bike .... so it lost its gloss soon ...whereas my friend's pulsar still shines ( Bajaj gives a lot of freebies :P )
So alongwith TEFLON how much would it cost ?
And what do they change in the First svc ..... Engine oil ? Do they lubricate the Chain because it looks as if its lost its lubrication , it looks dry .
And yeah guys , the Encountered a Bump somedays Back so my Bike had to take the bump as i was cornered by a BEST bus from one side ... and passerbys on the other .... after that incident My front forks Seem less powerfull .... sometimes .
and the Front and rear brake strike a musical note .... when applied ?
