yep I've been doing that religiously ... my sprockets seem alright , it's the chain that seems to have gone for a toss , anyway my bike is bone stock , so it will be the stock replacements . Thanks a lot man

P.S : so much for bike being bone stock ... i just switched it back to 15T and All the annoying sounds I was getting just vanished ... *poof* gone ...

5 Amp pair will fit without any issue, if you are wiring with relay and fuse and won't be honking hell out of it will engine off. Get it done outside the SC

          • Just two days ago install a pair of Roots horn cost Rs.350.00 and it consumes 6 amp total. Sound is too good like big car and there is no problem with battery. I am also using a 6000k HID for more then 4 months now. Both works fine.

              • IRC tyres standard?

I saw 2 Fazers this morning on my way to office&both were sporting IRC tyres that I have seen on the Ninja. If it is a coincidence, it is a really big one at that!
Or has Yamaha changed the OEM tyre manufacturer?

A friend of mine also said FZs sold in TN last month had different tyre than the stock one.

Noticed that the engine and area around the carbs is getting unusually warm. Bike vibrates more than usual after 7000 RPM.

Is it the bike getting old or is something wrong? Anyone else experienced this?
                    Anybody?

I have no idea. I got it done from a different (but still authorised) centre this time, and they didn't specify what oil was used.

its very common among FZ/FAZER guys to change from the stock MRF's to IRC's and PSD's.

                          • got my bike serviced for the first time after getting the big bore with the ASC.. there was this thing aftr i got the big bore - every time i rev'd hard there was a back-fire (probably because the engine was letting out more gases and that i'm running on stock exhaust). to fix this they adjusted the tappet. now the bike's gone down on power and the back-fire is more than wat it used to be. spoke to joel. since he is busy with the drag this weeknd can only get it fixed by tue/wed. hopefully the bike should be back to its awesomeness.

for those going for the big-bore get the head worked as well. Quoting from wiki.
Cylinder head porting refers to the process of modifying the intake and exhaust ports of an internal combustion engine to improve the quality and quantity of the air flow. Cylinder heads, as manufactured, are usually suboptimal due to design and manufacturing constraints. Porting the heads provides the finely detailed attention required to bring the engine to the highest level of efficiency. More than any other single factor, the porting process is responsible for the high power output of modern engines.

What did Joel say the issue is?
                              and have you ported?
