I hate carrying backpacks btw! Such a nice bike and no storage space? God! Can't I lay the papers under the seat somehow? Is it so difficult?
I can understand the thing about performance mods, but how much mileage are we talking about here for R15? If I drive under 4-5k RPM,how much mileage would I get after 2 services?

there is some space over the air filter....
intially what i used to do was put all the papers in one envelope and then put it in a polythene bag and put it over the air filter and close the seat... never did te envelope slipped.... but i guess thats it apart from the place of tool kit and medical kit....

about the r15 i guess you will get better information in its ownershipr thread...

      • Thanks.Have already posted in R15 thread. Now lemme see what to do! I am utterly confused.
FZ-S and Fazer will come in full cash payment, ready stock, with better mileage. Fazer is with fairing and heavier though.
        R15 is with EMI,easier on pocket,coz I wont feel the pocket pinch if I give monthly.Looks superb,rides great,latest tech,6 speed,But lower mileage,bad pillion seat,no center stand.Heck! Advice! Advice!

well what can we say now?? whatever we say we will be our choice and not yours...

you know the pros and cons of the both the bikes, now you have to make the decision... you have the data.. its upto you know...

as morpheus says " i can only show you the door, Neo."

btw one question why are you so worried about the pillion seat that much??

P.S: pillion seat on the fz/fazer is not that comfortable either... a person starts to have problem as soon as they are on a bit heavier side...

Okay,an R-15 owner said that keeping RPM within 4-5k returns a 50kmpl almost...so I think I would go for the R. Thats what my heart wants actually. My mind is also saying that FZ would get a refresh/facelift soon, since R15 has been refreshed.Had it been a year back, would have definitely bought FZ. Didn't have sufficient funds then. Now that I have,R15 looks like a better deal with installments of course. I hope am taking the right decision.

good decision..... and 50kmpl is quite a good mileage for r15...

Thanks..will book it within this week hopefully. What would be the resale value of my immaculately maintained 1st gen Pulsar 135LS (July,2010)? The dealer quoted 40k,bought it for 63k..shoudn't I be getting bit more? I contacted others, they are saying same price.
About riding gears...will buy them right before I get delivery, although I would drive within the city only. Thanks for all the help,Kinshuk!

Seen already, quickr is of no use..90% of them are not serious buyers.Frankly,I was expecting a bit more as HIDs and LEDs are fitted. Can't even take out HID and keep it,as one HID would spoil the looks of R15. Do u know the costs involved for fixing the stupid stock headlight setting where one headlamp glows? And also costs for 1st service? Not getting much response from R-15 thread.

converting the single beam to dual beam in r15 is a very simple mod and can be done even at the time of delivery....

                      rest no idea....

i would suggest you to sell your bike as stock.... remove the HIDs and LEDS... and put them in your new bike....

                      • ^^ Thats a better idea, thanks.I would feel bit better, hehe! But what do I do with 1 HID whereas I need two? I can sell it separately though!
I don't think the dealer would convert the single beam to dual beam.If possible,is there a DIY or video somewhere on Youtube? Also how to open front fairing? The tool kit is enough for opening that? I mean,Allen key is provided in the toolkit?
                        What about cost of servicing?

Nobody, as already said, can decide for you, but, in the light of the here-above, and in full logic, I would go for the R15, without hesitation.

One would be the "sweet deal" with installments. This is of course valid only if these installments are without interest, or minimal and below the devaluation ( I do not know if there is any devaluation of the Rupee, actually: I would suppose it's a pretty stable money!)

Second would be quality! I have not hidden that I have been utterly disappointed by the quality of the FZs/ Fazer, but having had a very close look at the R-15: it looks like it's been done in another factory! Not a molding defect, beautiful welds (NO comparison!), obviously careful paint....adding to this the much higher tech (and I would think: many more parts originating from Japan), this is a whole different world.

Third: I did not like R15 previous versions, but now, V2:.... MMMMMHHH what a sweetie!

For long journeys, though: I would change the handle bar, or it would simply destroy my wrists (but mind it: I am 67!!!)
