    • ^^ Looks nice now..apply clear coat and put some more snaps. Getting my white fazer tomorrow, fingers crossed. Should I do the dual beam fix right then? Has anybody got any video tutorial or DIY thread for changing single beam to dual beam?

Sure. I have made some changes after that pic as well. Will post pics day after tomorrow. I have now started work on my fazer. Will be doing the full bike. Will finalise the design on photoshop and keep it for reference while doing the work. That way I can complete the bike in a week. The panel in the pic was done from just imagination.

About the dual beam, you can go to any svc and the mechanics there might do it. I got mine done at the svc. He made some mods to the wiring and charged about 100rs. Been 6 months and 21000 km and still working great without problems.

I have a problem. My throttle cable has become very stiff and needs a change. I went to the spares shop and the guy was saying throttle cable for fz and fazer are the same. When I took the cable he gave me and tried to fix it, the cable was shorter by about 3 cm, so I returned it. The guy was not accepting that cables were different for the two. I wasted about 200 rupees just travelling there and for the mechanic. I was very frustrated. Is it true what he said or should I complain to the dealer. Plz suggest.

            • FZ-S (Eclipse)

Completed 13,000 Kms in 11 months.
People did warned me not to change the Headlight, reasons many( Battery issues , starter issues etc). but i went with my HID with Projectors and Angel eye setup in the very first week of buying the Beast.

Touch wood, till now never had any battery issues, no starter issues.
batter charge was always more than 10 in every service i went for.

Oil change: I use the yamaha lube for the first 1000 Kms, den my Friend Sushant Raut , test Rider for yamaha who runs his very own Workshop in vasai, recommended Mitsubushi Eneos 15W50 SemiSynthetic oil.
the oil is best for 3000kms. never had issues with gear shift and clutch.

Recently went for the last free service, Changed the Spark Plug(NGK G-Power), AirFilter change, Disk Break Pads,Oil filter.

He suggested me the Motul 15W50 which Yamaha is recommending for R15 V2.
I took his suggestion as usual. He even tuned in the Gear Box(which is recommended).

About the rear tyre, I was fed up with the Stock tyres of MRF, got it replace with the Pirelli Sports demon 140- 16- 70 , and my god the Gripping had improved so much that cornering has improved a lot.

I even managed to break my personnel top speed of 120 kmhr by 124 kmhr just after changing the Spark plug, oil , air filter.

Till now i am very much satisfied with my Eclipse. Thinking to take her to LEH-LADDAK this summer along with my Group of fellow riders.

Ur Clutch might be set very loose or the Clutch Return spring might have come off or broken.

                    get it inspected n corrected.

                      • Correct valve settings can do wonders. I had been struggling with a very rough vibraty engine for 4 months...
Handle bar replaced. Had a slight bend 230
                        Fork oil replaced
Petrol lock for the morons who screwed my fazer 2 months back....
The smooth ride is back again.

I have to disagree. Today i talked to CRM(customer relations manager) at the dealership who routed me to service engineer. Took the bike to the showroom and asked them to get the new cable fixed as they were also saying confidently that the specific part was same for both fz and fazer, which is in fact not, as far as the new models are concerned. the part numbers also did not match, but they were unable to get the fz's throttle cable fixed on my bike since it was about an inch shorter, so they said they will get the specific part with the number that was present on my stock one and apologized. They said they will get the new part as soon as possible. till then I have to use public transport

I think so that you are correct. A strange thing happened to me during my last service. I had requested for the cable to be replaced. They got a cable, tried to fix it but then went back and put my old one back and said they did not have the cable in stock. I did not think much into it but now that you bring up this point, I think this is the case.

                              • guys is there any way i can fix a Taller wind shield on my fazer?
because despite of the 'wind tunnel tested' fairings, still i face strong wind blasts at above 100kph.
                                Thanks
