not necessarily required but makes it easier to spot the puncture , I normally use washing powder ... , just the solution is enough , works nicely ... believe me I've sen 8 punctures on the rear tyre

I've clocked about 2900 km and done with the 2nd free service.

Recently, to be specific, since two weeks, I've developed a bit of a problem. Everytime my fuel is over the reserve tank and into the main, I've had a problem of erratic acceleration. Its like, that feeling when you're running out of fuel in the main tank and your about to switch the reserve value, you feel the engine dying out and the revving dead. But the fuels fine. At first it happened only at speeds about 85. Now, its keeps happening any speed above 50. And funny thing is, it happens only in the main tank. Switch to reserve and Im fine.

Haven't gone anywhere to get it checked yet, anyone else had a problem like this?

        Cheers

        Bump +1,
        Someone?

I am having the same issue , plus when ever i pull the clutch for 3-4 seconds while riding my bike turns off by itself
Any guesses on what might be wrong ?
The SVC guys changed my fuel jet ( the yellow color screw at the bottom of the carb on my 2nd service)
          My Odo is 2800 km

            Hi,
From what you have mentioned it looks like an issue with the fuel cock. If the tank has low fuel, engine may die while riding uphill, since the fuel is pushed back. Check if your problem is same. If not, then show it to SVC & ask them to check the fuel cock. I don't see any issue with the carb or fuel line since on reserve bike is running fine.

            Hi,
Check if the engine dies during idling if yes then check the idle speed.

+1 to what abhijit has said. I, in addition feel that the clutch cable is overtight or the throttle cable is very loose. Check free play on both. Next time when you press the clutch try to increase throttle, lets see if that solves the problem.

Regarding the Fuel knob problem, It seems that there is a defect in the knob in a number of bikes.. You may try adjusting the knob to somewhere in between the off and on button to see if there is free fuel flow from the tank into a suitably sized bottle and repeat the exercise from the "reserve" and "on" position just to see if there is a difference.

I am always in reserve though I always do Rs. 500 fill everytime and rely on the indicators more than reserve knob.. Never want to impact maneuverability on entering reserve in an unsafe position!

If there are consistent bubble formations from an area of the tire then you have hit the jackpot! Please do note that besides this there may be other factors also involved for losing tire pressure quickly..like bent rims or too much dust collection in the inner rim of the alloy mag wheel etc.

If the problem is not solved it is highly recommeneded u head to ur nearest Tire Repair fello...there are chances that there might be more den 1 puncture.

After it gets solved try putting Slime, have been using it for last 6 months no punctures n jus 2psi pressure drop a month.

Engine does not die when idle only when i am riding say like @ 60 on 4th gear and when i pull the clutch the bike dies and this issue does not occur when riding uphill for that matter.

                        • I'm not sure which screw SVC changed, but better to check the idling speed.
                          Confirm the idling speed.
                          Refer manual for idling adjustment.
Try increasing the idle speed a little bit, half turn or less (1500rpm max) & then try pressing the clutch while driving & check if it solves.
                          Regards,

Better to get both the oil seals & fork oil replaced as the level of oil in both the forks need to be same.

Looks like your idle rpm is very low.
