To all other owners, just love the tyre and monoshock! So thinking of selecting FZ-S,instead of R15 and I plan to keep it for a really long time. What say, people?
Fz over R15...strange, hope you have a strong & valid reason.

        FZ over R15,because:
        Firstly,I'm a 21 year old student.
I am gonna pay from my own pocket. So as the pocket isn't so deep, the price matters.
I am no tourer or highway person.Slow city riding is all I get.

Oh,that's a bad fall, hope u recover soon and get back on your steed.I own a Pulsar 135 and it's only 1.5 years old.I always keep it in best condition, along with timely service.Still I had these problems:
The speedo sensor ceased to work within 2 months since purchase, although replaced under warranty.
Then, the spring in the Disc brake lever got faulty, hence kept on glowing even when brake lever wasn't pressed.Changed it.
Fuel Tap got faulty,so petrol started leaking.
Now there seems to be some rust in the rear shock absorbers and there is a tiny bit of problems during starting the bike, sometimes.

Hence,I am so interested in Quality.

Now the dilemma between R15 or FZ.....!

Actually this is still the main condition of bajaj quality..I dont know about others but my Fz was basically without any fault free(my good luck bcoz I have seen some Fz owner complain about minor problems)what ever part was needed to be replaced on my bike was due to my fault of handling...
As you are a student I would like to give u a small advice that incase ever you fall..even a minor fall in case of r15 will lead you to spend heavily on the side parts as they are really costly & your budget is little tight..Go for Fz incase u fall also it will be very cheap compared to r15 & in the long run Fz is cheap to maintein..Its your choice Bro...Go for what your HEART tells you....I choose Fz16 1st gen & really happy with it..

              Hi,
R15 V2 is purely a track machine not a tourer, read all the reviews & take a test ride. V1 was better in terms of sitting posture.
With all the reasons above you shouldn't have even thought of R15. Anyway pillion seat of Fz is not comfortable either especially for elderly people.
Better to check if there is an existing thread for this subject or just open a new one, you will get your answers.

Bit difficult to say.. but yes definitely notmade for off roading... not good on B roads with lots of metal stuff lying around on the side of road then puncture is inevitable...

Better option fill up the rear tire with Tire slime or my favourite Ride on Tire Protection hydro gel on both tires.

                Cheers

I know, but where do I get tracks in Kolkata? I don't go out to the highways also, hence my concern regarding buying it.

Since the time I saw R-15 v2,I have been drooling over it.My heart says to go for it...but neither does my brain, nor my pockets. What is the price of side fairing of R-15 (which holds the indicator) in case I fall?

It was 650 for the V1..not sure about v2.And it is only 1 piece..if you do have a fall, expect a lot more damage(no crash guard)
Looking at your requirements I would say it makes absolutely no sense buying an R15.For city riding you need low end power, not top end and that's what the Fz has..and a lot of other bikes, but not the r15.

and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                        #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Based on sedate riding style new ones will give you 45-50+.my 1st gen is giving 42-43+ on sedate riding & 35-38 on harsh riding. So as the new fz are coming with less torque in harsh riding you will get 40-43+ aramse...

Woah! Can't afford a fall firstly,if that's the price of fairing! Another issue, since there is no center-stand,what is the price of paddock stand? Or can I use a simple car jack to do this? (It served the purpose in a Ducati Monster,I read somewhere).
Thinking of taking FZ-S. I heard from a friend that Fazer gives a better mileage, coz the front fairing helps in better aerodynamics. Is this true? Since the fairing is heavier than the naked version?
