you will have to re do that puncture but if the hole becomes bigger you will have to use two slices of the strip
i suggest you to ask someone who has experience to do it either take it to SVC or MRF they will do it

No issues .... Uncle Billy will educated.

Case 1) Heck forgot what it was. But if you using the clutch and 'rolling in' to the stop light...What happens is that there is no direct link b/w the engine and the drive train. Now the clutch is a friction disc which (noob terms noob here is me) rubs against the throwout bearings and your clutch wears off. Also you engine is running on no load...so you engine heats up and you gearbox will be screwed as well.

Case 2) Guessing it is where you let the bike roll in gear. Now unless you are 'running the clutch', there is still load on the gear, but is negated in part by the already existing momentum. You'll definiteyl notice if this load is too high by the revs. But usually you'll realise that. Now if the load is not too high, what happens is that friction in the gearbox will actually work as brakes. Physics being that since no power is supplied and load exists this extra power come from the wheels themselves. This is known as 'Engine braking' ... used extensively in trains.

I do case 2....but that chance never usually comes. Some idiot from right wanting to go left or vice versa always cuts me off forcing to brake before the lights

        Any further questions.

Not worth the hassle dude....just take it to a SVC. Also there radial tyres require to be wired as well if damage is extensive. Just old experiences.

We might we well trained and equipped with the right knowledge...but we; most of the time won't have to right tools nor have sufficient judgement/experience.

            Excuse me sir Doubt
case1 the engine is running no no load how will it heat up since we are not giving any throttle its just idling right

case2 when moving by the force of the gearbox and momentum will the gearbox be very stressed

Its simple...it conservation of energy. The gears are still moving...so kinetic energy. But there is no load. So it transforms into heat....

Case 2 .... Have you ever shifted down suddenly to a lower gear and notice how the engine screams and you know it is stressed right...if you are riding the same way in case 2...then I feel sorry for your bike and R.I.P soon. But there is always stress on your gear box. But in this case it is shared by your drive train as well and some if goes into negative acc...or Engine Braking

I usually put mineral oil which is around 350-375; but they say SS or FS is recommended once you've crossed 3K/5K respectively. You can ask them which oil they are putting.

Mineral oil 350?? i paid 250 for my last servicing a month back..

                • FZs mileage correction

                  Hi friends,
I own a black cyber green FZs which I bought 1 year ago. It has never given me a mileage better than 35 kmpl, even with careful riding(riding in 5th gear at 45-55 kmph, using clutch for changing gears only, soft braking, etc.) and getting it serviced on time. Now, the SVC guys say that they can do a mileage correction of my bike, after which it will definitely give a mileage better than 40 kmpl. When i asked them what exactly are they going to do, they said that they will tune the bike and many other things which I could not understand. They said after tuning, they will check the mileage with 100 ml petrol.....Is there some catch in this?? Will the mileage really increase or will they just trick me?
Does anyone know, what exactly will they do?
Will it decrease the performance of my bike(pickup, top speed, etc.)?
And finally, should I let them "tune" my bike?????

                  Thanx in advance

what they will do is detune your bike
it means that power will decrease and mileage will increase its better not to do detuning
By detuning power will decrease and only mleage will be there its better not to tune the engine for more mileage
i suggets you to get your bike serviced as stock then go for a mileage check with 200ml petrol keep the speed 42-45 in 5th cog
then you wll get your corrrect present milage
if you drive in the highways don't tune your bike for more milage

They will just adjust your A/F ratio lean. BTW the 100 ml mileage test is never accurate. The actual riding conditions are very different than that test.

For proper mileage try these things and it always works.
                      • Clean your airfilter regularly and replace it at every ~10-12K Kms.
                      • Maintain correct chain slackness. Lubricate it properly after every 500 Kms either with Chain Sprays or 90 grade oil.
                      • Maintain correct and recommended tyre pressure. Always fill air from petrol bunks which have electronic meters and not from road side puncture shop as most of them have faulty pressure guage.
                      • And last but not the least: Fuel plays a major role for Mileage savy people. Always fill up from reputed bunks or COCO bunks only. Avoid using any other bunks.
This is what I do always and never mileage below 40 even after ripping above 90KMPH on tours.

the question is that if its safe for the engine(bike) to go on such kind of trip i.e. mountains(largers rpm's will be needed probably) etc. in its first week...c'mon man its brand new...will it damage the engine..please help guys

Its is recommended not to cross 4.5K rpm in any gear and not to load the engine for the first thousand kms. If that can be maintained, then its fine.
