the question is that if its safe for the engine(bike) to go on such kind of trip i.e. mountains(largers rpm's will be needed probably) etc. in its first week...c'mon man its brand new...will it damage the engine..please help guys
I'd say not to take the bike to hostel till you complete the run in
every one will try out the bike not every one can resist to rip the bike
so i suggest you to complete a proper run in
refer the article about how to run in in "bike advice . in"
it is highly advised that during the bikes run in only one person mainly
handles it so that the bike gets set to your riding pattern

            • If you can get PSDs do go for them, else stick to stock.
Continental's wet grip is not appreciated even by the CBR owners, have a look at the thread.

Am not happy with the tire but i have heard that the Pirelli 140/70 R17 rear tire for my Yamaha FZ-16 is much better than the stock MRF Revz 140/60-17 which has no treads in the center part SO its kinda dangerous in rainy season.

                    • CBR250's tire is Conti Go by continental and the wet grip is bad(feedback on cbr250 thread).

                      • Sad news ... my baby's hurt. Damn BDA, a pothole without sign and i was all on the road.

It appears, the rod which support the front fairing is broken the fairing is hanging now .

Any suggestion what should I do. Should i get it changed or repaired(welded). Any suggestion on good mechanic who can do it. I live in bangalore near Kormangala.

Can I claim the insurance, given that it's on someone else's name. Also, the Driving license I've have is 10 yr old, was made for a 70cc bike back then since i was under 18.

                        Suggestions please

Take it to the SVC and ask them about the costs involved if it can be repaired or it has to be replaced
don't go for the claim if the amount is small

                              • ContiGO! is not so great. Poor wet grip, tends to wobble very much with pressure drop. My front is ContiGO!

Center groove is only meant for front tyre. No issues with them missing in rear
