  • Yes, thankfully today the road was dry. Just those few second all these thoughts went through my head.

    I am going to die
If i skid I will fall in to that river and I dont know how to swim
Can I make it and escape the truck from hell

when I made it out of the turn, I kept going but at a lower speed for a few seconds to catch my breath and just a smile was indeed on my face. you should have looked at my face when I was escaping the truck

I was going to my office which is 50km from home. On the way there is a blind turn which I usually enter at 60 to 65 kmph just so that I am able to keep left to the road. Today I was thinking of something about work the previous day and i did not take notice of the speed I was going at which was a scary 85 while entering the turn. I had no choice but to get my knee down to go through the turn and while exit it was 90 and the scary part was a truck fully loaded with fish was in front of me. I panicked ther for a second and got my cool, but the thing is that i am alive just because the road was empty except for the truck. I am usually a careful person but what happened today was if somebody else was in that situation or even I for the matter did not stay cool, would be no more. My point is the grip the fat tyres gave did save my life today. I would not want to go through such situation but I learnt a lesson today as well as come to appreciate something about the bike. Just an experience and nothing else

Yeah the tyres have literally saved my life plenty of times as well..before buying the bike I was confused b/w Fazer and P220 and everytime a situation which demands the grip and handling of the Fz/Fazer happens,I can't help but wonder..would I be alive if I had taken the P220 No offense to P220 owners..just that I felt it a bit difficult to maneuver when I rode it..
But yeah the grip over sand, small stones is PATHETIC,the bike skids badly..even my father's 22 year old KB100 is more stable over the gravel
      But in the corners...

I feel that any tyre, from my experience of owning a stunner, rtr and now fazer, would be unstable on loose surfaces when going at high speeds.

But these tyres are better than those good for nothing tvs tyres.

        • well the buttons and grooves on the tyre will also play a good role in the grip over loose surfaces and kb100 or splendor or some other bikes have tyres with different buttons i would say and those on our tyres would just be grooves.

Just a speculation as of now, but I'm quite confident that a 250CC from Yamaha would definitely be a Fazer.

The smoothness of the bike hasn't been affected , so I plan to run on the same oil ... will keep you guys posted on the developments ...
I dont know how can your dipstick show the oil at minimum mark even after emptying a full bottle....

Or is it that the AGIP 1 litre quantity is different than other's.

And based on your inputs i think your oil would last well over 5k...
do keep watching the oil level.

              cheers...

I have ordered the ffe from joel two weeks ago. Today I called him and he was saying due to some problem with the mechanic who does the ffe being on leave, it was not ready yet and it would be despatched probably by Tuesday. Will definitely update as soon as installed on my fazer.

                        • guys, my local mechanic told me my battery is gone. but all the electricals work fine. he tells me that some relay is out and hence the bike's starter is not working. how do i verify if the svc guys have changed my battery with an older one. also, can i go ask for a new one (preferably exide/amco). or should i just change the relay( for the starter..can i get it locally).
