  • Got my bike Joel'd ...

went for the big block and the head work. got it back yest. just done about 50kms. eager to finish the running-in and check for the results.

one noticable thing right now is the engine heating up. Joel mentioned it to be a normal thing.

    • Chain Lube and Chain clean

      Hey Guys,

When I inquired the rate of Motul chain lube and Motul chain clean in Panache Motors in bangalore, They quoted it's price to be 480rs and 450 rs respectively ?
Is it a normal pricing for these products ?
Also, Can you suggest me chain lubes other than Motul than can be used for FZ

Get the Yamalube off-road type chain lube-its Rs.300&pretty good. Only thing its a bit stickier than Motul, but that increases its life.

            Hi Duoscribe,

Can you create a new thread for this subject. so that everybody else can share their experience regarding Joeled Fz. I'll be getting FFE, probably next week but will take some time to install it. In the mean time Shv18 & Sydney C can add something to that thread.
            Regards,

actually i've been wanting to start a thread will do in a couple days so that i can put down my observations.

there was one more fz at Joel's garage that was modded to the big block. not sure if it was one of the xbhpians. silver-red color, ka-01-eXXXX. think it had a K&N filter.

                • Things to do during LAST FREE SERVICE

Guys I have my sixth and last free service coming up in two weeks.

Anything special I should get done? Like a particular oil to put in, lubrications, settings etc? Cause after my sixth service, my next PAID service would only be after 3K (instead of after 3 months) as my running is low. My total kms so far is around 7.6K

Labor charges will be different for different activities. The 225 which they charge are for basic maintenance such as oil/oil filter change, washing, air filter cleaning etc. If you planning to replace anything or asked the SVC to modify anything then they are gonna charge you as per their charging list. When you go to SVC ask them for the Labor charges list. Every SVC has one.

                            • FZ16 User manual (PDF) is here: Yamaha FZ16 User Manual.pdf

It looks like someone has scanned the original booklet and have uploaded it there. Credits to the original uploader.

A word of caution: I cannot vouch for its authenticity, and you should cross-verify stuff with your original manual that you received with your motorcycle. Think of the PDF version as a convenience.
