& talking about nice road the max speed all depends upon tire pressure, wind direction & how much you crouch. In this road once I got 123km/hr full crouched with wind in favour but at same time I also got 102/105km/hr (wind magor factor)
BUT MIND ONE THING NOW A DAYS THERE IS REGULAR PETROL ON NICE ROAD,SO BEWARE WHEN TESTING FOR SPEED.I MYSELF WAS ALMOST CAUGHT DOING 105 ON MIDDLE LANE RACING WITH SWIFT BUT LAST MINUTE SITE OF THE REAR OF PETROL SAVED ME PRECIOUS 500 BUCKS& LOWERED THE SPEED TO LESS THAN 75,MOVED TO RIGHT LANE A BIT..
Hey ! , the highway Patrol would not bother you . I have flown right past these guys at well over a 100 on various machines and more than once ... 110 - my FZ16 , 130 - friends 220 , bro's R15 ... , and 160 on another friends ninja ... They never bothered me even once ... if the interceptor is around , then you have a problem .
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Its isn't easy to find out why a vehicle has dropped its mileage by such a small factor. There are many small reasons for that.
and what is it with filling your tire @30-37?
That s well above the recommended pressure which is 28F,33R
I am keeping this pressure because I find my bike more agile in this pressure + I am running in slight 1 point more towards softer setting for the rear shock,so more pleasure in riding + till now I didnot get any magor leakage in my tires due to more psi.(NO MONEY OR LABOUR SPEND IN REPAIRING TIRES,ONLY ONCE A WEEK I SCAN FOR ANY PIECES OF GLASS OR METAL LODGED IN TIRE & REMOVE THEM)WORKING FINE IN CASE OF MY FZ16 TIRE WHICH ACCORDING TO ME CAN RUN MORE 10000KMS.

              Are the Patrol active 24X7?
              Any idea?

              Thanks,
_I remembered the scene in Tokyo drift - when cops scan them doing 197K,
              where Haan tells Shawn -
"Police cars here are only factory tuned. If you can do better than 180K they can't catch you, so they don't even try."_
              Ace.
NO IDEA FOR THE EXACT TIMINGS OF COPS OR INTERCEPTORS BUT I SAW THEM IN MORNING,AFTERNOON,EVENING...SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU RIDE...
AND TALKING ABOUT TOKYO DRIFT OUR BIKES ARE NOT THAT FAST,IT CAN REACH 110 EASILY BUT A INTERCEPTOR CAN GO TO 140 AT EASE...SO THIMK BEFORE YOU JUMP..

              • Average tragedy !!!

I know this has been discussed before, but can some one please tell me what are the ideal driving conditions for taking the average alteast upto a 40kmpl mark !!! At present my FZ-S gives me an average of just 32-33 kmpl despite doing an average setting from the SVC and driving below 55kmph !!!! I check the average from reserve to reserve.. When i made test run after the average setting was done, where they hang up a 100ml bottle from which a pipe is lead straight to the engine.. the bike went 4.7 kms.. ie. it showed an average of 47kmpl.. my bike has previously shown upto 50kmpl on d same test runs.. i'v done about 8400kms now...!! How much does d tire pressure affect the average... i fill up the air in about 2-3 weeks or so... change all the gears at around 4k rpm... shift to lower gears only when the engine is just about 2 start knocking.. warm-up the engine every morning before driving as the manual says.. drive around at 50-55 kmph constant..!!!
Please tell me if I'm going wrong anywhere !!! please.. please... i'm really fed up of the bike giving me such average figures !!! Please help me out guys... Xbhp is my last hope !!

Don't listen to them.Stick to the recommended levels.I have been using the recommended levels for 18K kms.

"Riding on tires with too much air is equally as dangerous. The tires are more likely to be cut, punctured, or broken by sudden impact. Overinflating will cause the bike to ride hard and will cause the tire to wear out quickly in the center of the contact patch. Do not exceed the pressure indicated on the tire sidewall. Consult your owner's manual for the recommended psi and for other useful tidbits of info on your tires. "

How old is your engine oil and the airfilter check the engine oil and lube the chain
warm up before riding shift up a 3k and down at 2k
have steady acceleration use the brakes less and anticipate the traffic and turns in front
remember twist the throttle gently and slowly maintaing beteween the optimum speed for efficency

Check your accelerator cable for smooth play

You should get above 40kmpl, if you are riding as you mentioned.
                          Cheers!!!

Cant be sure but just ask your SVC to do it.
