During rains i did not face any problem, i did not feel any wetness in seat, just sit down and ride no need to wipe and all, since you wont have contact with seat due to the mesh.Originally posted by laxsidd View Post

Of course bro!Motul chain lube and Motul chain clean-both are different.you have to use them every 500km(if u rip frequently) or 750~800km for trouble free operation of the chain. To use these products are not tough as the price!Originally posted by malikkhan095 View Posti feel the sound is from your rear tire
because i too experienced the same sound from my rear tyre
does the sound comes when you ride you bike on a radium light which are on the road or it comes only when you ride on a pothole .
best thing is to check the rear tire pressure frequently.
MY QUESTION : I red your post about chain cleaning and lubricating is a chain cleaner and chain lube both different things please explain how to use it .
->Firstly u need to have a so called grunge brush(a toothbrush will do.)or a piece of cloth(what mechanics use at shops-its like a banyan fibre or something don't know the name exactly!).
->Take some newspaper, place them behind the chain so that, when you spray the lube onto chain, it doesn't reach the rim.If it falls on the rim,I say-its hard to remove..its highly adhesive!!
-> Now,put the main stand, neutral, spray the chain clean onto chain while rotating it with 'hand' .
->Continue this for some three rotations of chain.
->Wait for some 5 mins.you can notice the muck and other particles coming out. wipe this off using the rag.If yuo are using any kind of brush, make sure its got soft bristles so that, O-rings are safe.
->Clean till you get that 'new look'.and of course!Dont forget to clean the sprocket.Cleaning part is done!!
While lubricating,
-> spray the chain on the slack side..ie the side which meshes with sprocket.its better if you spray it on a warm chain..it sticks better.keep spraying for 3 rotations.Let it dry for some time.
->Clean the swing arm and exposed portion of sprocket from the lube.
Its done!!
NEVER do this putting the bike in any gear out of laziness!! It may cost your finger!

In my opinion, a dirty but oiled chain is better than a dirty and dry chain. Yes, wear will be higher but not as high as a dry chain.Originally posted by malikkhan095 View Postmany of us has the same problem any proper method of lubricating and cleaning the chain.
i use only gear oil for lubricating the chain with out cleaning it,will this create problems in the future

if your bike is working fine then regular service is enough..
.
yes..they will stick the rim stripes for you if you pay them... i think white rim stripes from R15 will look good for red or black FZ16..

Gear Oil for lubricating the chain? I never thought this was advisable. You can purchase Motul chain lube and chain cleaner costing about Rs.450 each.Originally posted by malikkhan095 View Postmany of us has the same problem any proper method of lubricating and cleaning the chain.

Starting Issue
Hi Guys Need help again!!
The unusual weather in Delhi coupled with raining few days back has resulted in some chill in the mornings and evenings so I was worried about my FZ-S getting to life or not and to my horror today morning it didn't start!!

I switched it OFF and ON just to reset and pulled the choke too but still no life....finally after continuously pressing the self for a minute did it roared back to life and is running good now. But since the cold is yet to get worse so I am worried about getting it to life in the mornings......can you guys suggest me something about this or my bike has some problem that SVC guys can take care off?? I know since it is carb fitted and not fuel injected so cold starts are an issue but since it has no kick so what to do when my fine day comes yet again??

If you have had a fall...then the reason for ur tak-tak sound maybe manyOriginally posted by S_FI View PostWhen the bike passes through bad roads,I can hear some 'tak-tak' sound from somewhere near the rear wheel. The sound level has increased since a day. Anyone else experiencing this problem? It seems as if two metallic parts are rubbing/hitting against each other. Its an FZ 16.
amongst the silencer being one....u will need to get it checked at the SVC..
But if u havnt fallen then probably the sound may be coz of the loose nut
washer fitting of your seat lock...try to hear it once where is the sound
coming from....i feel its your loose seat....
cheers...
I bet you have sold it for a P220 or R15 i suppose...rite???Originally posted by gd76 View PostMy FZ 16 has GONE.
