Another thing, I have completed the first service at 570km. The mileage before service was 52kmpl ( riding speed at 45-50kmphr). The lowest was 44kmpl. Expect it to improve after first

It was not a problem with your self-starter. Your vehicle tilted over&the petrol overflowed.
Wouldn't happen on a daily basis, but I advise while parking keep the petrol tap off when the tank is full&also parking in mainstand till the fuel quantity goes down a bit.
Bending to the side will cause petrol to overflow. Use sidestand for short duration&main for longer durations/uneven surfaces.

It can still pull further... I have reached up to a 115 .. but only on straights/ slopes .. not on even the slightest uphill .. :-) . . .

well, i have gone upto 118 on straight road.......on mumbai - pune highway....

i had to pull down because of bad road ahead....or else it may have gone up to 120 maybe

but it takes a lot of time to reach this figure and requires me to sit crouched in a aerodynamic posture.....

my friend who was on rtr160 easily zoomed past me although he said he doesnt feel much confident on rtr at high speeds

nice that you went till 118 in Fazer it will be like dream figure. I have not succeeding in breaching 110 mark up till now. But one thing is sure..at high speed also the bike is rock solid without any chillam chilli I mean vibrations and all..

For Teflon coating..when I went for my first serivce..the guy asked me this question
:"APne teflon to nahi karwaya na? us se kuch fayda nahi hota"

I was surprised..he said that its better to keep your bike clean and keep it polished every 15 days or so. Waise teflon dosen't makes your bike scratch proof. Although I am already done with teflon..but it was much before the advice..but now..whenever I get my bike washed I use WAXPOL for the polish purpose and the bike is shining jhama jham anyways...hope it helps..

If you have the small visor accessory on your bike, put it on that, else on the back mudguard!
