    Hi,
Congrats on getting HIDs for your FZ.
Let me begin by informing you that you should use quality projectors along with HIDs. HIDs of any given wattage are proven to be 40% more glaring than regular halogen bulbs of the same wattage. Hence, it is illegal to use HIDs without projectors.
Projectors help in increasing the amount of usable light from the headlamps. Reduces glare to oncoming traffic. Reduces scattering of the light beam and controls spreading. So end result: you get a light beam that is focused on the road and that is comfortable to oncoming traffic.

Check out the thread that is specifically for headlights:

Please also check Wikipedia for more info on headlamps and HIDs.

    Happy riding!!

i got the exact look of fz-s. Total cost is 963 + 100 labour charge. For only front visor i think the cost is 250 for visor plus some labour charges.

Teflon coating , I got duped when i left my bike for 1st service. Its just a wax, its a cheap wax which wont even stay for a week and cheapness of this wax could be understood when it becomes a dust magnet. But quality waxes like Collinite never attract dust and easy to clean and stay for atleast 3-4 months.

When i 1st had this so called teflon coat, after washing my bike it had vanished. All i can say is svc are spending Rs 10 on a cheap wax and charging us 600. Dont get duped by this.

                        • Suggestion on new fazer with kick

                          Hi,

guys I m planning to book a new fazer with kick today, Since my TBTS (already booked) is making me wait for eternity ... 3 more months ...

Mostly I m going to use the bike for weekend city roaming and some tours. plan to ride it for 800+ KMs a day for few of them.

I love the front fairing of the bikes. so not going to P220 and some safety issues with ZMR so not going for that either.

Is it a good cruising bike ... or should I wait for the TBTS.

I m 6 ft tall btw and weight around 90 KGs.

                            My two cents:

FZ/Fazer is not a touring bike but a street fighter.. so if you are out on the highway and expect to ride it at 115+ kmph.. then Fazer will disappoint you a bit as its top end is not that great. The bike stays happy between 85 - 95+ kmph, post that the nos. will come bit slowly on the speedo console.. but if you love to enjoy those sweet corners nothing like a Fazer.. it would literally eat them in no time. Great handling, stability and Yamaha reliability. The riders seating posture is one of the best in its class.

For city rides, the low end grunt is more than enough to put a smile across your face as it can easily pull itself at 25kmph on 5th gear. And your height or weight should not be an issue at all.

A Fazer engine can handle quite a lot of abuse in terms of keeping the revs near the redline for miles and miles and it will not fail or seize or overheat under any circumstances provided one takes care of the regular periodic servicing... a lot of fellow xbhp members have done trouble free saddle sore attempt (1600+ kms in 24hrs) on their Fazers.

Plus now with Joel Anna's 180cc Power up kits (:.Welcome To Race Concepts.:) readily available at an affordable cost, you can always easily make it one crazy touring machine and build it stage wise according to your needs.

I am slowly upgrading my bike with Joel's power up kits to make it a very capable touring machine which can do three digits effortlessly all day long.. more on that later...

                            Cheers

well I m not into riding at high speed, every time i went on the highway I've kept myself under 90 Kmph ...

Looks like this is the machine for me then. Thanks for the suggesting this helped a lot ... I'll book mine today
